This week was… let’s call it balanced.

I rested a lot — deliberately, not like a zombie after a 36-hour rendering marathon — but on Friday I finally sat down and resumed work on Chapter 2, the remaster of the next two in-game weeks. I’ll carry on with that next week, now with a clearer head.

And then… Steam.

I was hoping for approval this week, but no — my Steam Storefront was rejected.

Apparently, somewhere among the hundreds of millions of banner sizes, formats, and naming rituals, I misunderstood something. Today I fixed everything, triple-checked it, and resubmitted. Hopefully, next time the Valve priests in their white robes will raise their thumbs in my favour.

That’s about it for this week.

A short update — but an honest one.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend, a smooth week ahead, and — since I’m already in this mood — an excellent life overall. Thank you for your patience and support!

What goes through your mind when you revisit old content that you haven't seen for a while, such as Chapter 2? Do you spot mistakes that you didn't notice before? Or do they make you smile? Is there some content that is so well done that it doesn't need to be remastered? Have a great week, and may you continue to enjoy your well-deserved rest 😉👍!

That's a really good question, thanks! I'm actually rarely satisfied with my work. Looking back, I have very mixed feelings. The first is how much I didn't know what I was doing, even though I thought I had a plan. The second is that I focused too much on the adult content and too little on its context in the game's story. The third is how tired I was all the time because the work was so intense and time-consuming. Technically, I don't see many mistakes because I worked hard to avoid them, but I can't help but smile at how long simple tasks took. And looking at some events, I remember creating them as if it were yesterday. Also, some old events feel like I did them more recently, but some newer ones seem much older than they actually are. All the content needs to be re-rendered because I messed up everything in post-production. And, unfortunately, deleted all the original raw DAZ images... But not everything must be recreated from scratch; I can still use many original files. However, I am still most proud of the first PAM fashion show animations (the ones with painted faces). I believe I never achieved that level of quality again. It took a few weeks back then. These were the times when I had to render all people and backgrounds separately due to my hardware limitations (before I switched to an RTX 3090).

The PAM fashion show was brilliant 🤩. In fact, I played it on my old PC with its outdated integrated Intel graphics and limited memory, and the animations ran almost perfectly. Are you planning on redoing the fashion show? I admit it's been a long time since I played that part, but I remember it being perfect. The only improvement I can think of is applying the famous AI mod to make it run at 60 fps, but that's barely noticeable.

I will remake that event, but the catwalk part will remain intact.

J'attendrai la version sur Steam, c'est vrai qu'ils peuvent être pénibles avec les nouvelles règles
