Work on Chapter 2 continues steadily, or at least it would if not for my ongoing duel with the Steam platform.

This week, I submitted my storefront banners for the third time and also sent in the game build itself. Now, everything is in Valve’s hands, and I am waiting for all the reviews and approvals to come back. Hopefully, next week, this entire process will finally be sorted out.

I think I’m beginning to understand how the submission system truly operates…

But who knows — it could just be an illusion created by too many sleepless nights.

Meanwhile, progress on the next chapter continues. Slowly, persistently, but steadily.

Chapter Two will continue the story. But it will also be standalone.

So, if I understand it right, saves, stats, and the gallery from Chapter 1 aren't taken into account?

Each chapter creates a .json file on your PC at the very end, and every subsequent chapter loads stats from this file at the start of the game. This allows you to easily continue the next chapter from where you left off in the previous one. In other words, if you have all the chapters, you can play them as a continuous, uninterrupted game with your stats and choices carried over to each subsequent chapter. That is how the game is meant to be played. However, you can play each chapter as a standalone game, but it wouldn't make much sense. Unfortunately, this is what Steam requires.

You will not need old saves to move on. Saves from Chapter 1 will not work in Chapter 2. Instead your progress will be transfered automatically to Chapter 2.
