Hi, guys!

As you can see, I've improved.

I did not skip the weekly update this week. Personal growth.

This week, I've been focusing mostly on the smaller events that will be hidden around Laura's house and on the beach in Chapter 3.

And yes, yes...

Sandbox elements are coming back.

I know.

For every legacy player who absolutely loved them, I can probably find another who couldn't stand them.

But hear me out.

As with everything else in the remaster, these events have been reworked. I'm also structuring them more logically this time, and the underlying code will be much improved.

You'll see.

The other important development this week:

I received praise from my wife.

This is serious.

She has access to the folder containing all the finished images. This week, she told me that the game seems to be getting more interesting and that, somehow, the visual quality appears to be improving again.

Many legacy players might recall that my experiments with Tales From Afar eventually led to a noticeable improvement in Special Request's visual quality around Week 5.

Anyway, that's all for today.

Next week, the machinery will continue rumbling.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

And thank you, as always, for your support!

Sound good. Yeah, I am missing the Tales From Afar a little, bit they did you well. Ithas been a while since I playee your game, but you made me quite some appetite so I will maybe try it again, soon. Praise from the wife is also very rare (especially in this field of business), but very welcome.

Heed your wife. If your wife likes your work, play at home too. Maybe your wife used to be the Shadow( Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? ).

AmaraHmmm

Sandbox you say, then this is goodbye

Nemiegs

Yes. Limited and without any grind. But you're welcome.

She is running Nemiegs' social media on X and Reddit and handling accountancy. And Laura's ass is modelled after my wife's best asset when she was younger 😅 She was also the first test player seven years ago.

I didn't remember Tales from Afar at all 😮! I had to look it up, but seeing an image of it brought it back to me. I never got around to playing it, was it abandoned? In the original Special Request, sandbox mode was the only option, and you could miss a lot of events depending on your playstyle. I remember two things clearly 😅: One was an option where, if you had enough corruption points, the wind would blow up Laura's skirt in the street and an old woman would get angry and insult her. I never had enough corruption points, and by the time I did, that event had disappeared (perhaps because it was a later week). I saw what happened based on someone else's gameplay 😎🍿. I also remember the clown who could hypnotise Laura. That has since been removed for featuring prohibited content, haha 😁👍. Have a nice weekend 🫡!

Thank goodness she doesn't run the Patreon; otherwise, what would happen? "Are you saying that my assets are at their lowest point? 😡🔪" 😅👍.

Nemiegs

Oh, man... She is here on Patreon as well and reads my comments and updates. My previous reply was approved by her 🤷‍♂️

Nemiegs

Yep, those are gone from the game. Sandbox will be back for Lauras home, Beach and city. Basically your Laura does what you want. All basic storylines are set by now.

Nemiegs was collared a long time ago 😢.

I don't like sandbox because you can miss parts of the story... who wants to miss exciting scenes because they went somewhere else at that particular time?

Nemiegs

Let's put it this way. I give menu choices multiple times during a game day. The sandbox only sometimes replaces the typical menu layout with buttons on the map. It is just a visual representation of a choice that changes. Also, if you played the legacy game, almost no sandbox event was tied to a particular time.
