Hi, guys!

Uhh...This was a crazy week.

In the previous update, I told you about the new computer I built for my wife so she could help me with some of the more repetitive aspects of development.

Well... She hasn't worked on it for a single second yet.

I have. 😄

I've spent the entire week working on two computers at once and somehow managed to catch up on my development schedule.

How many images have I remastered during that time? Another 2000 or so, I think.

I also discovered two important things this week.

First:

I DO want a monitor like hers.

Second:

I want DAZ Studio to stop being a complete piece of shit and work with my RTX 5090, as the older version works with my RTX 3090!!!

Working on the 3090 again was like meeting an old friend I hadn't seen in years.

"Oh! Iray Preview! I remember you! You're that thing where I could actually SEE WHAT I WAS DOING!"

Anyway!

There is also some actual news.

The Chapter 3 Steam store page went live today!

So if you'd like to wishlist Chapter 3, you are very welcome to do so!

And there's one more slightly unexpected thing.

It looks like Studija Nemiegs will be participating in this exhibition:

I don't really know the details yet.

My wife is handling that part, and she specifically told me to let you know. Apparently, we'll have almost 100 free tickets to give away.

That's genuinely everything I know right now. I'll tell you more as soon as I know more.

I have to admit, though, I find the whole thing pretty interesting. Apparently adult games have exhibitions. At inconvenient hours and virtually. But still...

What else?

I think that's enough for one week.

When I read "In the previous update, I told you about the new computer I built for my wife..." I knew exactly what the next sentence was before I read it since that would be typical of my wife as well. Also, I don't get how DAZ Studio doesn't keep up with the latest GPUs. Seems to be a continuing theme whenever a new GPU is released.

Not that she did not want to use it. I just realised I could briefly use it myself to speed up scripting. She will begin working on it tomorrow. But DAZ is my biggest disappointment in recent years. The RTX50 series has been out for nearly two years. I still need to use both 6 and 4.24 daily. 4.24 has plugins and scripts but no Iray preview. DAZ 6 is useless, lagging but can render. Nonsense...

Circuitarity

Chapter 3 looks quite decent on Steam so far, can't wait to buy it even though I have literally played less than 2 minutes of chapter 1 and 2 through Steam... I just love to support good work.

Well, whoever uses them owns the monitor and PC. If she doesn't sit down for even a minute, they're both yours. Case closed 😎🤷. Good luck with the "event". I know NOW that neither of us will be there unless you are forced to be under threat 😅. I think you'll agree with me that we'd rather attend an event like that in person than complicate our lives with something virtual that we don't understand, especially having to install a virtual game that's tens of gigabytes in size. I'm not that old yet, but if it's not in person, I'd prefer an easy-to-view virtual conference via a classic browser, where we could hop into a chat to talk and ask questions. Wasting hours creating an avatar and downloading tens of gigabytes of junk is ridiculous, just like that 'multiverse' idea from the crazy guy at Facebook 🫠. I saw your new Steam page for Chapter 3. Congratulations! I wouldn't have approved it, though (just kidding 🤣👍). In the description, specifically in the 'About the Story' and 'Features' sections, Chapter 2 is mentioned twice instead of Chapter 3. Finally, is the video on Steam page entirely from Chapter 3? The scenes, I mean? At one point in the video, when you're loading a savegame, the menu looks like the Chapter 2 menu trying to load a Chapter 1 save file (around the 24-second mark) 🤔. Yes, I somewhat agree. Thanks for reading the storefront description! Fixed the Chapter 2 issues. And yes, all scenes are from Chapter 3, even the screen, though I forgot to rewrite the screen text...

Thanks for the special request 1 & 2. You had nice plot and events. I never understood the reason that the MC asked for the player name nor why player should decide the name of the MC. Its minor but just silly. I know the ch 1 and 2 are already old but many characters looked like they were from barbie set aka poor quality. The MC looked good and you did great with the animations.
