Hi, guys!

Well, well, well... I was doing so well with my weekly updates. And then I skipped another one last week.

But I have an excuse! Actually, I have several. Let's start from the beginning.

Last time, I told you that I was about to spend the weekend renovating my office.

Well... That turned into a four-day weekend.

Two days of renovation, one day assembling furniture, and another day cleaning up the absolute pigsty our house became during the process.

But that's not why I skipped last week's update. Somehow, I still managed to keep game development more or less on schedule.

The real reason was something else.

I found myself in a forced, completely non-consensual BDSM relationship with DAZ Studio.

For one particular event, I created six large animations. And thanks to the wonderful technological miracle that is DAZ Studio, I missed something when I switched from DAZ 4 to DAZ 6.

Which meant I had to render all six animations again. And then again.

And then... AGAIN.

I started wondering which one of us was actually enjoying this relationship. It wasn't me.

As a result, I didn't finish the post-processing I'd planned, and I didn't have anything new to show you.

But this week, I do!

I've been working in my new creative studio for almost two weeks. At first, it felt a little unreal, but I've got used to it surprisingly quickly. I can safely say I never want to go back to my old setup.

I even have a sofa in my office now. I'm not entirely sure whether it's a hint from my wife, though.

Fortunately, I managed to successfully resist her attempts to decorate it with throw pillows.

There are limits. This is still a man's workplace. A man who spends his days dressing digital dolls and arguing with gravity simulations, but a man nonetheless.

Anyway! Now for the actual Chapter 3 news.

By the end of next week, I expect to finish rendering all the images and animations for Chapter 3.

And believe me, there are A LOT of them.

This will mark the end of another major development stage. After that, it's finally time to move on to coding and start turning all these thousands of images and animations into something you can actually play.

I'm really looking forward to that.

And that's everything for today!

Thank you, as always, for your support, and have a wonderful weekend!

Next week you can make a rendered picture about your new office, just to show us :) Thank you for the work. I see the moon right now, and wish you a wonderfull life! :) This game will be my christmass gift for myself….

The renewal was supposed to be a surprise, Nemiegs wasn't supposed to have to do anything... but instead he ended up having to work an extra four days 😅😆. Is DAZ 6 the new version that has been stuck in an eternal beta phase for the 5000-series GPUs? I’m not sure exactly what happened, but having to redo those renders just because of one little detail must have been so frustrating. Will they get the weekend off to make up for it? 😏🎈. Have a good one 😁👍!

Thanks! Yes, DAZ 6 is the new version for RTX50xx GPUs. It is officially out of Beta, but in reality it is still Alpha. It is buggy as hell, ridiculously laggy, and has no scripts. Working in it alone is impossible, so it can be used only for rendering. I am forced to use DAZ 4 instead, which has everything I need, except for Iray preview, which means I cannot preview the end result before rendering. That means I cannot prevent possible pokethroughs, wrongly placed floors, or a camera in the wall. Often I have to redo images after rendering. Sometimes whole animations.

"I even have a sofa in my office now. I'm not entirely sure whether it's a hint from my wife, though." LOOOL. That sentence could have come from me. It's the same for me. My wife hates it when I'm still at the office late. “Why don't you just set up a bed in there?” she says. :-)

Oh, man, I completely understand you 😅.
