Cat Nine 231 - 1st Panel Preview (Patreon)

Whew, I dunno if it's just my inexperience, but drawing cylinders and ellipses in perspective in CS is a huge pain, just look at the pic with all the guidelines activated. Part of what I was trying to learn all this time was not just drawing the cylinders themselves, but figuring out how to organize the guideline layers and learning how not to get confused from using them.

In hindsight, the Divine Arena should be at the center of the village, but oh well, it's just what happens when you're writing by the seat of your pants. I still do love the idea of it being in a higher place than the village though as fits the moon cultists putting Haliaya on a (really big) pedestal.

Buuut hey, this another opportunity to learn something new and cool. It does like something from Frostpunk too. Not looking forward to drawing too many cylinders or ellipses in the future though!

And with this, I've decided on how many Haliyans live in Hinabulanon so I can decide on the size of the village. I've decided on 119 members since it's a multiple of 7 (because of the moon's phases, minus the new moon). Lastly, if you add Haliya herself to 119, you get a nice round 120.

Other numbers I also like:

49 (7 x 7). I like this the best, but I feel 49 is too small.

189 (7 x 27)

259 (7 x 37)

329 (7 x 47). I like this too since with Haliya it'll be 330 people (and goddess), and you know, the 300 Spartans, but this is already a big number and they're not supposed to be an army.
