Small Changes (Patreon)

Hey guys! 

As you might have noticed Patreon's Trust and Safety team started poking around everyone's pages and games in order for the Creators to make the necessary adjustments. I was also asked to water down some scenes that were a bit over the edge and so I did. There is no major change, mostly dialogue here and there but it shouldn't impact the game at all! The changes were delivered in the latest 0.9 update. There was one NTR scene that had to be altered and another animation removed from the game along with dialogue changes but that's all.

This does not affect the development of the game in any way moving forward, just wanted to let you guys know what's happening!

Also versions before 0.9 will get an image error when they reach the end of the version, that's a bit of a downside...

Yep, another creator Luxee has had to make similar changes with one of his characters. It is clearly stated that all characters are above 18 before the title screen, but since Patreon determined that one character in particular looked underage, he had to completely change all scenes regarding that character or risk getting banned.

I will say if it gets worse, there are a team of people who are working on a site to be a competitor to this one. It is a project called Sponsorion. It is still very early stages, but the way it sounds, they are creating this in response to the recent restrictions on here. Their goal is to create a site where the creator truly has control over his/her content. They plan to go live sometime this spring and is definitely something to keep an eye out on. Just Google Sponsorion and it should pop up in the first couple of links.

Sorry to hear that they are making your game go to hell. So what scenes EXACTLY you had to water down? And why NTR? Since when is that forbidden? So they forced you to alter your writings?

Nothing is going to hell really. There was the scene where Adrian broke in and drugged the GF, that was a bit too much. It was not NTR specifically but the previous mentioned scene raised some eyebrows. Some text was altered as well before a couple of sex scenes because the GF had to agree to having sex. She mostly did but now she also says it. I made the changes in such a way that the game stays the same but it's also following the no non-consensual rules.

For me this means they are taking away creativity. Fucking #Meetoo assholes. They all knew what was going on in Hollywood and now they force their SJW shit to fictional stuff. That is making creativity going to hell.

Hey Abyssal, I'm pretty sure some SJW just played the game and then reported it to Patreon. I really hope there is going to be an alternative to this site soon. And answering your question: they ALREADY limited creativity. Probably 80% of nsfw creators already modified their game or their plans. Daniels has been honest about it, others probably don't even tell their patrons.

Your pledges are supporting creators, the more backing Adult creators have the better the industry will be. As I said there are no major changes.

It continues, Patreon will slowly fade out all adult content on the site from the looks of it. Even people who "fixed" things for their guidelines were destroyed after just because this stupid platform felt like breaking their own rules. If you didn't see it Mr.Dots even said that Patreon is REQUIRING him to send in scripts and previews to their team for prior approval on the new game he was forced to come up with. This isn't even censorship anymore it is downright full control over the content.

I don't know about that but it was clear that Mr.Dots is going to raise a lot of eyebrows with a game called "Dating my Daughter". Never played it so I can't speak about it.

Well it was all good until the change Daniels, then when he got hit he erased all mention of the true name and edited all the in game dialogue to boot. He did everything they asked to keep it alive and within the guidelines without scrapping it all together. Regardless of that they demanded he get rid of it and now dictating him to produce scripts and previews for any game he produces. Countless others have been hit as well, GDS had to screw his entire game over cause a Patreon team member decided that the MC who is stated numerous times as 18 and all the people around her are seniors etc. "looked younger than we like" and gave him no choice. Anyone who follows creators on here knows this is well past the "follow our rules and you are fine" state of things.

If Patreon does not stop their NAZI ways I will be leaving Patreon for good. I sponsor over 100 creators, and will use that money for other things. Yes the fact everyone keeps on giving in to these NAZIs is the problem and will eventually lead to all you creators loosing Patreon period. If you creators do not band together than you will be forced to make kids games to be a creator. I understand that this may be some people's only income, but soon it will be no income. If all the adult creators threatened to pull out with the biggest following than Patreon would be forced to capitulate. They allow other incest and taboo stuff to be on Patreon in story and films, but not games. That is prejudice against adult gamers. I have bee trying to find away to personally contact Patreon but they do not have an open forum nor a true customer service department, so it proved difficult. But seriously if one more game has to be changed to make them happy then i am out.

I think the best thing to do is not give up. The more support adult creators get the harder it will be for them to look the other way, it's all about the $. This only happened after youtube creators started flooding Patreon, the NSFW is still strong and we should keep it that way. From my experience they are pretty lenient, had a good talk, came to a common ground. This could be just for show but I really think they are going to stop here with the restrictions.

Cool that you remain positive. I have seen the biggest creators cave now and some stop altogether. Anything porn related will always have a stigma, and a true open forum will one day come. But my point as a player I am enjoying the games less due to their restrictions. Restrictions not imposed on others like film and story. Hell GOT is more taboo than some things they filter in games. Be prepared for in my years of experience it get's darker before dawn. Luckily you do not have any incest. I have noticed it seems now impossible to get the twins together. And they don't want any more changes right? Maybe I am just pissed at the way they have censored games but no one else. To me I would probably never use these pricks ever. Since I have an income I can say that, sorry that you guy's must comply to someone else's standards who are hypocritical with their actions. Patreon are NAZI's and will remain that until they give us an open separate forum that requires an age verification to enter. Like a credit card! Now only people with money are viewing your stuff. Sounds better to me. But I do not believe Patreon will be that source. I believe we will all be moving to a new site soon. Patreon will not understand until that day, and will continue to be NAZI's up to that day.

myea, the only reason those specific certain type of people play games like these are to find morally reprehensible things to put their hooks into so they can complain about it and show off their purity to their fellow SJWs and authority figures like Patreon staff. I truly enjoy the content you're making Daniels K. and I'm proud to support it, but if the Patreon staff is going to be in the way, I would rather pay monthly this exact same amount via another service instead of through Patreon. So let us hope it won't get worse.

Don't know if you know 'Research into Corruption', but that was a great project until the developer abandoned it because Patreon wanted so many things changed. Happened recently too. EDIT: Heard instead he's releasing it uncensored on his Discord channel. Might be useful second option for Daniels K. if Patreon might one day demand too much for their paychecks.. 'Donations' will need to go directly to a business account though.
