Also since now you know Baby 5 backstory ... another interesting/sad piece of information that Oda reveled on an SBS is the origin of her name, and that's because she had 4 brothers/sisters ... so ... her mother couldn't care less of them that she never even named them ... thus referring to them as Baby 1, Baby 2 ... and her being the youngest became Baby 5 😢

The duality of Baby 5 is that she is both adorable and tragic. Sai is gonna make her super happy though and hopefully help her move past her trauma to a degree, thank god. 😊

Also this is another piece of evidence for Doflamingo's "family" not being some wholesome bond. Baby 5 was practically the family's slave since she was a kid from an emotional standpoint. It's horrible she was treated that way as a tool and they never tried to help her move past her trauma and give her any self-worth. Doflamingo's "family" are just chess pieces to him. Or playing cards if we want to fit in with the theme of different card suits of the top executives.

The fact that 709 keeps showing newer and newer flashbacks lol... 709 doesn't start with anything new until the 13 minute mark, which is pretty insane. Unfortunately the anime really overdoes the pacing issues any time the gang is all split up, because every time they cut to a different scene they like to do little recaps of who is in the area. Still, you're getting close to peak Dressrosa!

Sai vs Lao G is lowkey one of the best fights in the entire series

The animation change in these moments is so sick Sai is the coldest of the colosseum fighters imo, the impact on that kick was insane. The way one piece does impact where it sends showckwaves through the environment is such a cool effect. And Oda is a master for being able to create such memorable moments for characters we otherwise wouldn't care to see.

one of my favorite moments. Sai should be happy he got a straight up gorgeous bride instead of... a straight up dude...? Also, I don't think she was truly happy that Lao G called her "Convenient"; you can tell how her smile looked more forced than usual. I think Sai's reprimands had an effect on her.

I don't know if she'd accept that, though. It may be a terrible name, but it is still the name her mother gave her. It's the only piece from her that she still has; being given that name.

I absolutely agree, but if you want more about the follow up with Sai and Baby 5, there's actually already a canon cover story that shows a bit about what happens to them after dressrosa if you're interested! Very wholesome
