So a couple tings to say to help: For Devil Fruit Awakening, It's the 2nd stage of devil fruit users that allows the devil fruit users use their abilities on other surroundings and areas they normally weren't able to do before. So for instance, if Luffy ever awakened his devil fruit then he could make the surrounding area rubber, just as Doflamingo is doing with his abilities. We actually have seen an awakening elsewhere with Zoan Devil fruit users, such as the Impel Down Demon Jailer Guards... they are awakened Zoan users. Secondly (I'm sure this has already been said), SO the color of Arms is Armament Haki, and the Color of the Supreme King is Conqueror's Haki. During this Arc, the terms for haki changed so when you hear them say these from now on: Color of Arms=Armament Haki Color of the Supreme King=Conqueror's Haki

Just a quick explanation on devil fruit awakenings, they are the next stage of mastering a devil fruit. Typically, eating a DF exclusively affects your body. With awakening, this effect is extended to objects around you. The effect is different for each DF class: With Zoan fruits, it increases the durability of the user. Zoan awakened users tend to get stronger, faster, last longer and recover quicker. However, there's a huge risk as the user may lose themselves to the fruit e.g. the jailer beasts in Impel Down. In fact, the first time we got to see DF awakening was way back in Impel Down. The jailer beasts are confirmed awakened Zoan users. A common theory is that they were human but can't go back because they can't control their awakening. Paramecia fruits allow the user to extend their reach. They start affecting other objects, allowing the user to control them. Theoretically, if Machvise awakened his ton ton fruit, he would be able to affect the weight of other objects that are not his body, extending his reach. The same way Doffy is turning buildings into strings. Logia are a bit of mystery. However, there's a theory that Logia awakening allows a user to permanently affect their environment (since Logia are based on natural elements). Most people believe that this is the reason Punk Hazard is the way it is, Akainu and Aokiji are both awakened Logia hence the permanent landscape. Hope that helps clear up a few things. Can't wait for more One Piece reactions. The end of Dressrosa is so close.

Based on Doffy's explanation, it would appear Diamante's Army Bandera is an awakened ability too, since he ripples the whole ground. The real debate is how Pica and Pizarro's work. Both fit the criteria of being awakened, but their abilities also just kinda require them to use the environment, so who knows.

That is true, with Pica and Diamante and their devil fruits, it is difficult to say whether they're awakened or not. This is speculation, but at the very least I personally would consider Diamante's devil fruit an awakening. Pica and Pizarro's are a bit diferent, mainly with Pica, he's always been surrounded by stone so it's difficult to say if it's Awakened, I think moving through the stone is a basic part of the devil fruit. For Pizarro, the fruit itself just sounds broken in general. On a related note, I believe Whitebeard had his devil fruit awakened as well, when I remember watching marineford I noticed him using his Gura Gura no Mi, he used it on his weapon and swung it a distance to cause a quake and it got me thinking if that is an awakened ability P.S. Jack: If you see this, Nightmare Luffy is what you're thinking of from Thriller Bark

its also worth noting that it is highly likely Akainu and Aokiji both are awakened Logias. With what they did to Punk Hazard as an example. Though that still is in Theory Theory no Mi realm.

wrong again as the impel down guards are confirmed to be awakened and they don't have that cloud

@Errikto479 The difference is intentional, not all awakenings are mastered, the impel down guards were unmastered

I wonder if Oda has yet to fully commit to the rules of Awakening in detail. It was really hard (and annoying) to tell if a certain soul lady and a certain dragon demon were Awakened or not during that fight. Other uses are made explicit, so I would always err on the side of "they didn't, because Oda didn't say so," but then we have to deal with the fact that two top-tiers didn't have Awakened fruits? Idk. The dragon, at least, has the black smoke mantle. Who knows for soul chick.

@Waywatcher Fireson I think it's likely a guarantee that they are awakened considering how strong they are and how strong their DF abilities are, but actually being able to prove it in their case is indeed difficult

Yep. I feel like Jack may not understand how strong Admiral level Marines are yet... Doflamingo is a joke compared to Fujitora and likely Sabo as well. Those two were essentially trusting that Luffy would win which is really the only reason they didn't intervene and fight Doflamingo themselves. Sabo was able to hold off an Admiral while taking no damage, so you can tentatively scale him to around their level. It's kind of insane to think of Sabo as admiral level cause he arrived into the story so suddenly, but I think it's believable because Sabo is older than Luffy and he was apprenticed under Dragon from a very early age. The OP Logia fruit doesn't hurt either haha, just don't try fighting Akainu with it 😥.

I would like to believe those ones are awakened, however I would think that they're not or at least one of them aren't. I believe the requirements are for their mind and body to catch up to their powers, and I want to include creativity and/or versatility with their abilities as requirements based on how we seen doffy use his Devil fruit powers. Going off on that, even though they're op I think the lady doesn't meet those requirements fully, while the latter could be a potential awakening. Also having said that, it does give me more confidence to believe that Akainu and Aokiji are awakened with how they are
