Fun fact, the pronoun speech pattern used by the minks follow this rule: the males say -gara, and the females say -teia. Note the detail that Bepo never spoke that way because he didn't live in Zou. Oda sometimes goes beyond when inventing a culture's shared attributes, whether it be this example, or Sky Island's fashion, or even imitating architecture from a real place.

It annoys me so much how they start the actual episode after the 6 min mark and still stall the story with generic fight scenes, unnecessary talking and still frames with dramatic music. Those two episodes could have been 1.

The pacing during Zou is not too bad, it's way better pacing than Dressrosa and what will come after Zou. That being said, yeah it's bad pacing. That's post timeskip OP in a nutshell.
