Correct me if i'm wrong but that scene of red outlines on Big Mom's eyes were her seeing the future with observation haki. It's not as good as Katakuri's but still good

I don't think it was Big Mom seeing the future, she was just using observation haki to see within the castle. If it was the future then we would have seen it happen again when it panned into the castle to establish that it was futuresight, but something entirely different happens.

you know that makes much more sense, been a while since i've seen this arc and had Katakuri in my head so i mixed it to the normal observation haki

You are right, Katakuri solos the entire Donquixote family at once with ease (when not including Doffy). Same with Cracker. Katakuri could probably solo them with Doflamingo included imo, though that would potentially be less one-sided and a cool fight to watch. Katakuri is HIM. An Emperor's individual strength is unimaginable all by itself, but their powerful crews are an additional reason they are so feared as you have seen. Observe how when Big Mom is tied up, Katakuri immediately takes command and now HE is acting like the captain of this monsterous crew. They are not reliant on Big Mom. Even without the emperor, emperor's crews are generally still the strongest crews in existence. Even Fire Tank Pirates + Partial Straw Hats + Caesar + Germa would probably choose to run even if Big Mom was not present, because their chances of victory would still be uncertain and they would be considered the underdogs. And keep in mind Big Mom is down 2 Sweet Generals at this point. If the other two generals were there to represent her full crew, then it would be a 100% chance of a relatively easy squad wipe (even without Big Mom) vs this alliance.

Katakuri's devil fruit is a special Paramecia. It exhibits the properties of a logia but since mochi isn't a natural element, it falls into the Paramecia class. There's more to it than that since Katakuri blends in the use of his other abilities to enhance his fruit. Overall, there's quite a number of fruits that fall into that special zone, with Blackbeard and Marco's fruits being some of them.

The mix-up is understandable. Showing observation haki in red does not happen until Katakuri's future sight, so it can give the wrong impression that the red is future sight specific. Plus she is an emperor, so it's not like it would be out of the realm of possibility for her to have future sight.

And for devil fruit categories, don't think of any fruit that gives you intangibility to always be logia, there are rare exceptions like Katakuri. Logia fruits do seem to always give intangibility, but they are also natural elements. Mochi is not an element. So even though it exhibits similar behavior to logia with intangibility, it is classified as paramecia which is the "doesn't fit as zone or logia" category. There are not many rules on what a paramecia is, it can be anything that is not zone or logia and covers a vast array of devil fruit abilities.

Tbh, you are not being dramatic with Katakuri vs Donquixote family in my opinion. Maybe not in number but power. A person who can see even remotely seconds in the future as a fighter, would easily beat the one that can't. Be it defensive or offensive. If you master it, you are in another level of dangerous. It's an insane power up and plus Kat has his devil fruit power for a long time to be a master with it. He's not being the Emperor's Commander for nothing. Even with doffy, he could one on one with him easily. If you haven't realize, his devil fruit is almost the same with luffy's. Its like luffy's but mochi. He can use it in whatever he wants, he has freedom and imagination to shape his power whatever he wants. it's an insane power.

the pacing's def still better than the 2nd half of dressrosa, pretty sure that part of dressrosa is the lowest point of pacing other than standalone episodes like before that vs sanji episode in this arc
