Took a while to realise but yes, the beast pirates have a playing cards theme. The Headliners are actually named after card games i.e. Speed, Texas hold'em, Sheepshead (guy who attacked Sanji's group when they first arrived at Zou). There's still more to come but I honestly find it really impressive that Oda manages to keep things consistent considering the scale of the arc.

its not supposed to be a "nearby fruit becomes that devil fruit" I could be reborned everywhere, My own theory is that black beard can pull out the fruit from a dead body so they dont need to search for it, and thats how he gets white beard fruit

I’m pretty sure it is confirmed that 1) one of the closest fruit to a devil fruit users death will usually transform into the devil fruit and 2) Blackbeard ate whitebeard’s heart to get his power, it’s forbidden to eat 2 actually devil fruits as apparently you’ll explode, but no one said you can’t eat someone’s heart to get it
