All that chopper ussop nonsense is filler

Karatsuki

I need to see Jack crying at 1015 already I need it

Pyro Sasebo

Deep lore but the Ace was offered a Warlord spot after defeating one prior, this was heavily speculated to be the one that collected the Dragon Zoans for Kaido's crew, that is why he has so many on his crew.

Sleepy

Bro finally witnessed one of many Nagamine's peak directed episodes.

Thomas

Ulti "remembering" a quarter of the last episode is kind of wild.

Karatsuki

Momos fruit was man made fruit yes, but it was not made by Ceasar with the sad stuff but was made by Vegapunk using unknown methods.

Veritas

Datalore: It was confirmed the former Warlord "King of Lizards" Hanafuda was indeed the one beaten by Ace 4 years ago and he collected Ancient Zoan fruits. It is speculated whether he's connected to Kaido but I think he's almost certainly his source of Ancient Devil Fruits. For one, his name is a card reference. Second, I think he's likely Ulti and Page One's dead pirate father, who was referenced in their data as Kaido's acquaintance. IF this is true, they're very new and the Warlord is dead.

pablo

kiku is trans thats why she sounds femine and looks like that, with yamato is more unclear

Daemedeor

I know you're much further along but don't forget who else was In wano before!

MisterTriforce

bro really said "bloods thicker than water" after watching Wholecake. smh

SimStu

Oda has said many times Yamato isn't trans

SimStu

The title card for 989 shows a gunpla/model building mat with a Brachio Tank model, and it reminded me of my dope General Franky gunpla. It has you make the tank and bike first, and then it shows you how it transforms into the general. Just wish it was easier for him to hit the Super pose

Uselesskazuma

Oda has cleared this that Yamato is a woman and even her vivre card says so

Gita

The soundtrack when Yamato enter the scene is insane. They were cooking for that.

Umar Baig

yeah I was thinking about that too forgot that there was a soundtrack like that

Umar Baig

Wano sure has the best peaks of this show but also has the lowest of the lowest as well...

Log

I always find Yamato's lack of social skills funny until I remember his dad straight up teated him like a prisoner for 20 years, can't believe he actually thought that would go well

Zamasu Yo

Did you just reupload the same reaction 2 days apart 😭

Waywatcher Fireson

Beware of the agenda pushers in the subtitles and comments. It's been really frustrating dealing with the Yamato situation because of modern trans politics and the Left's incessant need to police people that disagree with them on this.

Adrian Manuel

Is it just me? It says video unavailable on streamable.

Umar Baig

he often does that. Reacts sometimes to 6-10 episodes in one day but uploads no matter what 2 episodes at a time but it makes sense

JoJo

You're going to piss people off whether you call Yamato a he or she, it's been a headache since the characters inception because of the West obsession with what people call themselves, which isn't nearly as big of a deal in Japan. A large portion of the anime community are racists and transphobes so even mentioning a he/she will cause them to have an aneurysm. The fact that they are attracted to Yamato but they identify as a man really bothers them.

Pyro Sasebo

So with that i do recall that Page One and Ulti were in Kaido's care since they were very young so i dont believe the 4 years lines up but who knows.

The Otter Man

1) Oda does not write the vivre cards and they are have had many notorious inaccuracies 2) Yamato is exclusively referred to in the manga as Kaido's son 3) there's a very well-known scene that y'all seem to forget exists when you argue and 4) you're weird

Genecade

Can't wait for 1k! It's been a ride

Dasha

lmao

Waywatcher Fireson

@The Otter Man Yamato's title card introduces her as "Kaidou's daughter, self-proclaimed Kozuki Oden." You're simply incorrect. Yamato also ended up on the all-female color spread last year. And Yamato is constantly referred to as the "oni-hime" (demon princess) as a child. Yamato believes she's Oden. She isn't actually a man. It's a personality quirk.

Zamasu Yo

Does he? I only bought his patreon a few months so I might not be sure. I was just disappointed that the react for the day was the same react from 2 days back. I dont know how patreon is even handling that with comments older than the post. New reaction is up though so Im happy

The Otter Man

@Waywatcher Fireson point to a single manga panel where someone refers to Yamato as "she" "her" or "daughter". and AGAIN you are ignoring the most obvious example of him saying explicitly he isn't a woman, which I won't go into details on to avoid spoilers.

ImZeaT

She doesn't identify as a man, she identifies as Oden, that's different. Kiku is a woman, Yamato is Oden, she's still a woman, but she's Oden. There's no "debate" about this because if people have more than a little bit of media literacy, there's nothing more to it...

Ender

I really don´t care, I say she to Yamato just because it is easier for me to associate her as such but ultimately it wouldn´t matter much to me if I had to call her he. I find it baffling that this is such a big issue, it is not like Yamato can tell us how she feels about it and the way I see it that she just identifies as Oden and as he was a strong man so she needs to be. I would love for her character to have a conclusion some day to overcome wanting to be Oden and rather being a own character and person. I would also love to see the community care equally as less, would be so much easier not having to get headaches by endless discussion where no one will ever win or turn someone over with an argument.

ImZeaT

@The Otter Man yes because Yamato identifies as Oden, not as a man, as Oden. People around her don't want to deal with it so they just accept the fact that she's Oden. If you talk about inaccuracies with the Vivre Card, they are almost always corrected, but they didn't correct the Yamato one because she is a woman. She is Oden, but still a woman, when she bathes with the men, she's Oden, but she's still a woman...

ImZeaT

It's not "the Left", it's people who lack media literacy. Yamato is a woman, Kiku is a woman, and One Piece is a leftist manga, I don't know why you brought the left into this...

JoJo

The only 'evidence' people use is the vive card but Oda doesn't write them, he just gives the thumbs up. He has purposely never picked a side. Yamato calls themselves a He, the Beast pirates call Yamato a He, Kaido calls Yamato a He, and it's manga canon that Yamato uses the male baths, not the female baths. It was definitely meant to be open to interpretation, not attack others over.

erueka6

Bullsht that's the biggest load of horse doo take I've seen recently. Yamato is a she end of story as should be her existence in the manga end it was a huge mistake.

DatDirtyDog

LUL @ erueka6 alright calm down princess.

Blackest Hippy

imagine being a one piece fan and a bigot

Waywatcher Fireson

@ImZeaT With all due respect, it is almost entirely from one side of the political isle. Note, I'm not saying everyone on the Left pushes male Yamato. I've just never seen anyone on the Right push male Yamato. That's more what I mean. I fundamentally disagree that One Piece is a Leftist manga. That's like saying Bleach is a Republican manga. Japan has a different political system than the West. For example, Leftists wouldn't push the creation of weapons as an inherent good (see Tom's philosophy). Pirate King is an inherently merit-based, conquest-driven position of strength. That's a hard-right, Old World idea. Luffy doesn't care about people's races (colorblind philosophy, more Rightist) or pasts (more Leftist). You can't squeeze the whole story into one political side. @Blackest Hippy I don't really care, Margaret.

Waywatcher Fireson

@The Otter Man Chapter 984, final page, Yamato's intro box. Chapter 1084 color spread. Chapter 1024, page 8 (Oni-hime, Demon Princess).

DiamonDust

First off, let me just express my desire that we keep things civil. I agree with lots of transphobes being in the anime community (not specific to anime community though, they are everywhere), but in my opinion Yamato is probably not meant by Oda to be canonically trans. It used to be far more unclear if Yamato was trans or not which was why there was such a huge debate (I even used to lean toward seeing her as trans), but since then there was a vivre card entry (basically canonical character info cards that Oda writes) released for Yamato that listed her as a woman. Compare that to the card for Kiku that makes note that she is male but has "the heart of a woman" (aka trans in japan meaning), and you have a very clear cut answer. Why would Oda give that label to Kiku who is undeniably trans, but not Yamato? Oda also drew Yamato as one of the women in a well known beach spread, so you can see how even without the vivre card there is already conflicting evidence. I, for one, see the vivre card as pretty definitive evidence, and I think Yamato works better as a gag character who just likes to emulate Oden than a trans character. Other trans characters in One Piece are very obviously trans and there is a very heavy gender focus, but by comparison Yamato's identity is more focused on Oden rather than Oden's gender. It's like Yamato is "acting" as Oden in a stage play, I don't see it as actually being trans because it is just acting and not her true gender identity. As an actor, you would naturally emulate everything about the character you are trying to portray including their gender. Hence the confusion. But hey, that's just my opinion. At the end of the day, who tf cares though? I am pretty sure Yamato would answer to both "he" and "she" pronouns in universe no matter what your opinion on the matter is so we should honestly just not fight about this and just refer to her how we want. I think it's puposely "open to interpretation". People can see Yamato as trans if they want, and other people don't have to see her as trans. In an ideal world that's how it would work, at least. This is a sensitive issue so that will never happen, though. I don't think your comment is really helping because it essentially implies that anyone who says Yamato isn't trans is a transphobe, which is just not true at all.

DiamonDust

I also think that Yamato is not trans, but you didn't have to word it like this. You're just going to rile people up. Some that replied to you on the opposite side are no better. I think it's very much meant to be open to interpretation if Yamato is trans.

DiamonDust

I don't intend to leave comments about this on any other videos cause this issue has been beaten to death over the years, but as far as the Yamato gender thing is concerned please know that it is open to interpretation if she is trans or not. IDC, what anyone says, it's open to interpretation. We have no 100% reliable way to know if she is trans or not, and that's why this whole debate exists. Call her whatever you want, it does not matter. Yamato would likely answer to both sets of pronouns anyway, he or she. Both are correct for different reasons imo. Personally, I call her "she" because the vivre card is the most canon indicator we have to go off of to prove her gender. Kiku is labeled as trans in her vivre card, but Yamato is not. I also think that Yamato's character makes more sense and is funnier as someone who "acts" out the part of Oden out of admiration, which includes acting out his gender. When you are acting, it does not mean your true gender identity matches the character you are portraying. But that is just me, and I see both sides. I have taken both sides of this debate in the past, so I don't think I'm biased.

Waywatcher Fireson

@DiamonDust Wording it like this will continue until morale improves.

KappaPrideUwU

Kiku is a guy tho. They introduced him and Izo as brothers...
