the reason why orochi survived all those decapitations is because of his mythical snake fruit the legend surrounding the snake is that to kill it you have to cut of all of its heads to kill it if you look closely when orochi dies last he only has one head left

Jack, brother, I get that lack of foresight is frustrating but if you paid attention to what devil fruit Orochi has it would be VERY obvious how he survived being beheaded. At the time this dropped we were practically waiting for him to come back, the surprise is purely because you forgot what he is.

That doesn't prove he's anywhere close to emperor level IMO. He blocked the attack for like one second and almost died. I think Kaido or Big Mom could block a similar attack with a lot less effort and sustaining a lot less damage. I can't exactly imagine Zoro flicking an Ikoku away with his hand or taking a King Kong Gun like it's nothing.

I also didn't get Orochi one until i read about his devil fruit and turned Oh yeah... I don't understand his devil fruit enough to know he has like 8 lives lol. I thought it was a fake death too, turned out, it's just i didn't actually understand his devil fruit.

All of the know-it-alls in the comments with 20/20 hindsight saying they "always knew for a fact" that Orochi was not dead. You realize that logically speaking just because he ate a fruit that gives him multiple heads, it doesn't mean he cannot be decaptitated in one blow in his human form? It makes far more sense to assume that in human form every neck and head have fused into one, so the logic to say it shouldn't kill him is purely fantasy logic with no real reasoning behind it. Also... you have to also ssume that he can just lay there with one of his heads cut off without yelling in pain or bleeding out? Doesn't seem in character for Orochi when he is so dramatic. Fact is, it is One Piece logic that you just have to accept despite it making not much sense logically. You cannot blame Jack for not predicting something that should be impossible... he did not know the fruit lets you survive decapitation in human form. Nobody could have known that for sure, and it made no sense to automatically assume that. It can be guessed at this point how he survived, but I would not say it is obvious since they have not hinted at how he survived at all and kept it completely vague.

Orochi is not like a hydra, he is based on the legend of Yamata no Orochi. Unlike Yamata no Orochi, when you cut off a hydra head, two heads grow back in its place. Orochi's heads don't grow back at all. Also, one would assume that all his necks are fused when he is in human form and that he would only need to be decapitated once. It is purely One Piece logic that he survived, so I can understand how someone would not see it coming.

FR though, On one hand he gets props for knowing that he would get folded if he fought them all at once, but on the other hand why was he acting so tough like he didn't need help from the Tobiroppo to deal with them? It was kind of dumb for him to confront them alone.
