Page One has an Ancient Zoan. Mythical Zoans are rarer (and implied to be more powerful) than even Logias, so they are STUPID rare. Only Mythical Zoans on Wano are Kaido's Fish Fish and Marco's Bird Bird model Pheonix.

its a little confusing, Luffy's revelation was basically that you can enhance your attacks with conqueror's haki similar to armament haki.

yeah luffy realized in 1028 that you can use conquerors like armament/ryou. and that is even rarer than people having conquerors. also zoro has concquerors but he cant coat it yet

also the no touching when attacking with haki is not a infused conquerors only. its just how you use the haki. ryou is the armament version of letting your haki flow out of your body into your enemy. and you can do that with conquerors too which luffy and big mom did in these episodes. so you could say luffy and big mom used the ryou version of conquerors.

Coating yourself in conqueror's haki was first revealed in whitebeard vs roger. you should go back and see it. their weapons never touched when they first clashed. Also, this was not Ryuo. Ryuo is an advanced form of armament that anybody can learn to use. This was advanced form of conqueror's that only veryy few can use.

Glad you dug into the psychology of Big Mom a bit at the end. She's obviously evil and sees nothing wrong with doing evil things but she's also extremely compassionate. She loves her family and her people. She's completely ruthless too, even with her family but that's a big difference between her and Kaido. We've never seen a hint of that from him. Only demonstration of power and pursuit of glory. I think their differences in ideology were demonstrated well here.

I am still baffled Jack hasn't realized "Color of the Supreme King" is Viz's localization for Conqueror's Haki. This is why I hate localization so much. And using "infuse" instead of "coat" or "cover" just confuses people about what's happening. Luffy's now using his Conqueror's Haki in the same way he uses Armament Haki. He's coating his body in it. This is a huge power spike. I don't know why Jack thinks Luffy's question to Kaidou is Luffy "realizing" Kaidou has Conqueror's. I really wish we could get a full-retranslation of Crunchy Roll's subtitles that, at minimum, is consistent with its terms. EDIT: After starting the next episode, it seems Jack understands it a little bit.

Yeah, Big Mom is a really complex character and I'm really glad you're paying attention to that. I basically just see her as a 60 year old child. She has the intelligence, body, strength, and kingdom of an adult but the emotional maturity, moral compass, temper, ruthlessness, and well-intentioned dreams of a child without the wisdom to know how to achieve them.

Don't be fooled into thinking Big Mom is not evil. Big Mom is just a childish hypocrite who tricks herself into thinking that she is not a bad person, and you wil realize that soon. Yes she is not as one dimensionally evil as Kaido, but she is still very evil. Big Mom's ideals of a country where all races can live as one isn't as noble as it seems... she is basically collecting races like pets for her own amusement and happiness. She signed off On Kaido's plans to enslave an entire country which included Okobore town and Tama, mind you. Don't forget how she abuses Pudding simply for looking different... that's discriminatory. Plus she also abuses all of her other children and even kills them if they would disobey her. Yes she does seem to have this "motherly side", but it won't last. You will see that her cruelty will take precedence. Oh, and she provoked the Straw Hats by abducting Sanji plain and simple... so she started that fight. The Straw Hats initially only went there to save Sanji.

I agree with Big Mom being this interesting character. That she isn't just a one-dimensional antagonist in a twisted way. But there's so much context about what Luffy had been doing against her that you need to remember. Luffy trash talks her in the first place because she wanted to destroy Fishman Island because of sweets, something Luffy found stupid to disregard so many lives in a country just because of food. Remember, before, he thought highly of her seeing her flag "protecting" Fishman Island like Whitebeard. He also just saved the country from destruction not even a day before. He also ruined her tea party and was in Whole Cake Island solely because Big Mom took Sanji first against his will, using Zeff to blackmail him. Luffy knew about blackmailing from Pekoms, and Nami confirmed it from their time in Bege's castle. That's why, at first, Luffy wanted to ask Sanji and then decide. But they got to see Pudding, convinced that he could get Sanji back, and met Sanji, even more convinced after their duel. It's not unprovoked at all.

you have to remember that big mom had hunger pains and ate her original family, Mother Carme and the orphans, even though she has no memory of that from her perspective her loved one's disappeared without a trace, so having a whole town who was nice to her vanish forever would trigger her

1028 has some of the most otherworldly frames in any media. The way it shows Luffy transcending into another realm in order to find the strength needed to take down Kaido gives me chills every single time I think about it. The shot of him holding his club back with a simple kick without actually touching him, showing us that the impossible IS POSSIBLE. It’s all up to how badly you want it and what you’re willing to sacrifice to get there. The fact that Luffy doesn’t say a single word throughout any of it with nothing but pure determination on his face says so much. He is literally ready to die to beat this dude and THAT’S where Luffy’s strength comes from. One piece is king.

Isnt this what zoro did when he cut kaido tho..? Pretty sure he infused his blades with conquerers haki. Thats what kaido noticed... So he can do that too, he just hasnt realised it yet. Thats how i see it and have had it explained to me.

Nah. Kaido only notice that he has conquerors. There no evidence to suggest thst zoro can infuse it. The reason he could cut kaido is likely due to the haki that oden infused in enma

Big Mom has a selfish personality with a worldview revolving around her, and if anyone disagree with her wants, they are normally regarded as evil. She genuinely thinks that her greed and opinions are justice and treats them as such. You can't provide me with 20 tons of flour? You deserve to die then and i'll take since my sweets are more important than your Island. You don't wanna come live in my utopia of all races because I don't have your kind there? I'll beat you half to death and throw you in a book prison. You rejected my tea-party invitation? I'll kill your family! As many have said, she is essentially just a child trapped in a 60-year olds body. When you look at her backstory it makes sense, since she never progressed from that moment on after eating the orphanage. Furthermore, due to her overwhelming strength she was never told no or stood up to her other than mother caramel. So now that she's as strong as she is her overall disposition is understandable to me, but doesn't change that it's wrong.

I think something that needs to be pointed out is that when Zoro used Ashura on Kaido, Kaido realized he had conquerors because he unwillingly infused his attack with conquerors. That's the power of Enma, it doesn't have "Odens Haki" like some people think or whatever, it just pulls all your haki and I am assuming if you don't have conquerors that's when you can't use enma.

One Piece has none of that bs Also what he means by using Conquerors is that when usually Conquerors is just for intimidating people Kaido has a way of using Conquerors like armament ON TOP of using advanced armamend haki Meaning you get TWICE the attack bonus of Haki
