I miss Kazuki Yao already. His voice as Franky, Bon Clay, and Jango is just too iconic to be replaced.

Jack just goes with what Yamato is calling himself, Yamato refers to himself as Oden or Son of Kaido, so maybe stop being so bothered by that?

As far as this episodes go, it's a very random story to be dropping during a full out. war going on. I wonder if ti could mean anything .... j/k we all know Jack already seen the outcome of this. I have feelings on whether it is warranted or could've been hinted through out the story more so it doesn't feel ike this tale comes at the time it did but It'd also have been to obvious to the rest of the story .... shrug glad he's enjoying the raid

Honestly the smartest thing you can do as a pirate is to recruit at least one fishperson/merfolk buddy, especially if you've got a devil fruit. I don't know if there aren't any in the marines bc they don't want anything to do with the government or bc they're not allowed to join, but they would be way scarier. Marineford alone would have gone very differently

Next 3 episodes are some of my favorites from this arc. I love the upcoming story and the evolution of the character in it. It shows real growth and that from a character that hasn't had that much going their way post timeskip.

I get impressed everytime about how much effort they put to make the episode the slowest possible during this time. It starts after 5' and they still put long flashbacks, motionless scenes with music, unnecessarily extended fights, etc. Watching now, after the 6-month break, it is clear to us how an episode should develop without all the stalling. Everything is straight to the point, there's no empty talking and no flashbacks. And about loving Franky's VA, well...

I love Kazuki Yao too!! I was an anime only before I caught up with the manga, and he's voicing Franky is one of the reasons why Franky is in my top 3 strawhats. Such a legend 😭

I don't care what he calls Yamato, but the fact that he naturally went to refer to Yamato as a woman and then corrected himself out of fear of saying things that will trigger people should genuinely make many of you question how you present your ideologies.

You guys are making it sound like Kazuki Yao (Franky VA) died lol, he just retired. His health is not the best though from the looks of it. And yeah, OP anime pacing is atrocious. I would have preffered a filler arc between Wano and WCI to pad things out instead rather than padding Wano like this.

It does not matter enough for you to complain about, stop whining and stirring the pot. Yamato is ACTING as Oden, and Oden is male. Using either set of pronouns work here, either her true pronouns (she) or the pronouns of the character Oden (he). I normally use "she" as Yamato's pronouns, but if I were Jack I might also consider just using "he" since it is also correct and gets all of the annoying people who like to label others as transphobes over this to shut up. I don't think Yamato is trans, but I don't entriely blame others for thinking she is (I used to think so as well) because Oda did not really clarify very well.

@Guillaume Feuvrier It was not necessarily out of fear, it could be that he also wants to address Yamato that way cause he considers her trans. We have no idea what Jack's opinion on Yamato's gender is, or how he wants to address her and why. The brain just defaults to the biological gender for language if you don't actively think about how you addressing someone, that's just how it is, so it is not evidence of anything. I agree that there is an issue with how Yamato's gender is toxicly enforced by some people though, specifically because canonically evidence points largely toward Yamato not being trans so imo people just should refer to her how they like and both sets of pronouns are correct.
