The intro thing is where they thank all the sponsors for that timeslot, they roll the brands across the screen and would have a recorded thanking, idk why an official sub distrubution has those left in from tv broadcasts it used to be more so a pirated holdover lmao. Also for references popular to popular anime Gintama is kinda the go to.

There's a 15 on the room because Ichi means 1 and Go means 5 therefore 15. It's also Ichigo's age at the start of the show Ichigo means Strawberry so there are also references to that, like on the clip his sister uses on her hair

yeah, the orihime time reversal is shown a lot clearer in the manga due to censorship. Like Yammy rips his arm in two and it shows her reversing the damage but they dont show it due to early 00's tv guidelines.

Gintama riffs bleach pretty hard but it gets a lot of shows and references.

Phantom Destroyer77

jujutsu kaisen literally references bankai and rasengan and other things when gojo is training itadori

MrZip420

ahh beat me to it. Gintama is so damn funny love that show

erueka6

Rip Shogun kayo that anime is a league of its own.

Ender

Hiyori out of One Piece? Hiyori from Doki Doki literature club? Hiyori from Noragami?

Matthew Garcia

The captain system in Black Clover were inspired by the captain system in Bleach

Gintama makes hella direct references to all the big 3 and more but I personally didn’t like Gintama

I'm a bit behind on these reactions, so this comment might feel a bit late: It's often stated that a fighter's true strength lies in their emotions; while that certainly applies to most characters in anime, when it comes to Orihime, it's almost entirely literal. You might have missed this, but it was very briefly stated in a previous episode that, unlike traditional combatants like Ichigo, her powers are DEEPLY tied to her emotional state; this was especially apparent during the fight against Yammy: Sōten Kisshun (Healing shield) responded greatly to her intense desire to save and heal Chad and Tatsuki. At this point in time it's her strongest power mainly due to her strong desire not to let anyone get hurt or feel pain. Santen Kesshun (Defense shield) did manage to barely reject Yammy’s powerful finger jab, though it did shatter. He is one of the stronger Arrancar, and his casual jab carries immense destructive force. Even so, the fact that it shatter just from a finger shows that deep down she doesn't believe she's capable to outright protecting her loved ones from harm, despite how much she wants to protect them. Finally, Koten Zanshun (Cutting shield), which completely failed to lay a mark on Yammy, and Tsubaki, the spirit responsible for the attack, was easily destroyed. Orihime’s pacifist nature and reluctance to harm others directly affect the strength of her attack. Her failure with Koten Zanshun against Yammy isn’t just a matter of power, it’s a reflection of her intent. It is meant to inflict “harm” on a target, potentailly maiming them. But for that to work, Orihime must WANT to hurt the target. Yet in that moment, her emotional energy is entirely directed toward saving Chad and Tatsuki, not harming Yammy. Her subconscious prioritization of preservation over aggression weakens the offensive spirit, Tsubaki, who embodies her will to fight.
