Damn I forgot how good this fight is

just a short correction. Ikkaku is not even a lieutenant. He is the third seed of the squad. The lieutenant is yachiru. So for his rank its even more impressive that he has aquired a bankai. And if more people knew about it they would definitly tell him to become a captain or at least a lieutenant of another squad.

Bankais are veryyyy rare. ~20ish people have a bankai out of the thousands of soul reapers that exist. To become a captain it’s pretty much a requirement to have one (with the exception of Kenpachi because he’s Him). Ikkaku having a bankai while being the third seat of his squad is basically unprecedented, and he needs to keep it a secret so he doesn’t attract unwanted attention. lol you should make yourself some bleach character flash cards

Best animation we've seen in Bleach so far and it's for Edrad vs Ikakku of all things. Also I was waiting for your comment on the funeral line, dude had 0 faith xD
