Bankai's usually take 10 years of high level training, only a handful of soul reapers in the soul society have it, it's just common amongst captains cause it's a requirement for them except in Zaraki's case. Hollows/Espadas cannot have a bankai they have sword releases, basically Tite Kubo gives every faction in Bleach their own names for things. He loves inventing very different names for very similar techniques. Like how the Quincy Flash Step is called, "Hirenkyaku".

Jack you are right, you heard Pesche's VA before, because he is Dio from Jojo and Aokiji (Kuzan) from OP they all voiced by the same VA Takehito Koyasu

AndrGvR

just because they are movement techniques doesn't means they are similar. flash step is called like that because it leaves an after image like a flashing when they leave the spot, sonido for arrancar its called like that because it creates the sound of a sonic boom when they move while Hirenkyaku it doesn't not have any video/audio queue hence why Ishida states that its the better movement technique.

Vlad

Pesche VA is same as DIO VA from JoJo, which make his character even funnier

Merry Christmas, Jack. Merry Christmas, Everyone.

They both make you move fast and half the time they use the japanese names that we can't make sense of and half the time they localize them regardless if they were translated in the past depending on which platform you're using so I don't care if the names make sense they're still confusing as hell and most people that watch Bleach can't remember or keep up with them unless they watch 5 reaction streamers or moderate the wiki. It's all redundant any other shounen would just say they're different forms of Reishi boosted Movement. The reason Nen works is because it's built off of real buddhism spiritual concepts and it's basics are explained to us all in the beginning and it builds upon that. Bleach is my favorite shounen but Tite Kubo just makes shit up as he goes along you don't have to defend it he doesn't even defend it it's easier if you just think of it as the, "Quincy Flash Step" instead of being hyper specific about it like we're in school or something.

Long comment incoming, I am going to try to do a recap for you here and explain some important concepts as a Bleach megafan lol. I will only explain things that the anime has already explained (or tried to explain). So first off, arrancar like Circucci would never have a Bankai like you were asking about. Bankai is a form that only Soul Reapers can attain. Soul Reapers have two power ups related to their swords (or Zanpakuto). They have Shikai which is the first blade transformation, then they have Bankai which is more advanced. Arrancar have their own power up called a Ressurecion, it's when you see them transform. You could say a Ressureccion is like a Bankai equivalent for arrancar because it similarly boosts their power. Basically every arrancar can do a Ressurecion as you have seen, it's more of an inherent power they all possess rather than one they have to train for like a Bankai. Arrancar are all former hollows that have removed their masks and become more humanoid - they also gain a zanpakuto when they become an arancar. They keep much of their hollow power sealed away in their own Zanpakuto. Their Zanpakuto work completely different than a Soul Reaper's Zanpakuto though, there is no Shikai or Bankai. Instead they have Ressureccion as I mentioned earlier. To activate Ressurecion, Arrancar release the hollow powers from their Zanpukuto and gain a more hollow like form and abilities which also gives them a large spike in abilities and overally power like a Bankai does. Lastly I want to tell you what Aaroniero meant about being a "Gillian" class arrancar since you asked about that too, but this part is a little complicated so bear with me. Basically to recap, there is a category of hollows (not arrancar, that comes later) that are more powerful than normal hollows called "Menos Grande". They are hollows that are created from hundreds or even thousands of other hollows fusing into one being (don't worry about how they fuse). Those Menos come in three sub categories based on how strong they are and what physical form they take: - Gillian (Weakest, Common, Looks like a giant gnome thing that Ichigo fought in first arc. They always look the same) - Adjuchas (Middle strength, Uncommon, Look more like traditional hollows but they have a more unique appearance and abilities) - Vasto Lorde (strongest, very rare, look entirely humanoid, are extremely powerful even before they become arrancar) It's really only Menos Grande which are fusions of tons of other hollows that are powerful enough to remove their masks and become arrancar - usually. Vasto Lorde Hollows confuse some people because they actually look humanoid even before they become arrancar, but when they become arrancar they look even MORE humanoid essentially. If an arrancar is created from a Gillian, however, they are typically not going to be as powerful as an arrancar that is formed from an Adjuchas or Vasto Lorde. That is why Aaronierro said he is the only Gillian in the espada, he's an outliar. Normally a Gillian would never be strong enough to be an espada, but Aaronierro is the one exception because of his unique powers to absorb other hollows and steal their power and abilities. Hopefully my explanations here helped. TLDR; Arrancar cannot use Bankai that's only for Soul Reapers, they use Ressureccion transformation and all of them have access to it. Arrancar are made from 3 different classes of hollows, and Gillian is the weakest. That's why Gillian cannot normally become espada, but Aaronierro is the exception due to his unique powers.

@AndrGvR They are similar when it comes to the end result, that's why even a privaron espada mistakes hirenkyaku for shunpo

DiamondDust here did a good job of explaining the different types of Hallows - to who it may interest here again the power system explained without spoilers: ----- Bleachs power system explained in TL;DR: Reishi = matter Reiryoku (spiritual power/energy) = energy Reiatsu = pressure Cero = Concentrated spiritual energy Kido = Spells powerd by using spiritual energy Longer Version: Reishi are spirit particles, with which objects are made of in Soul Society and Hueco Mundo (also a bit in the World of the living, but much less, there it is Kishi, which is basically atoms, so Reishi is basically spirit atoms if you will). Reishi is used by Quincies in all their techniques, they tear it out of the environment to form it with their own Reiryoku (spiritual energy) to create an arrow for example. Reiryoku is the spiritual power. Quincies use it to combine it with Reishi to create things and Shinigamis channel use it to create attacks through their Zanpakutos. All spiritual beings have a certain amount of Reiryoku (spiritual energy) and a certain amount of "potential" energy. Every race (Hallow, Shinigami, and thei subsraces) has a maximum and that maximum is much higher of that of a Captain-level Shinigami. Reiryoku is used to shape Reishi by Quincies, to channel attacks through thei Zanpakuto by Shinigamis, to use Kido by Shinigamis or to condese it to create a Cero by Hallows. Reiatsu is basically the spiritual pressure and most likely interchanged with spiritual power but someone that trains it can have higher or lower pressure. So you could lower the the flow of energy coming from your body or let out more. People can sense this pressure by literally feeling it. Think of it like air pressure in the atmosphere or somewhat like what Frieren trained her whole life to disguise herself as not as powerfull. Now let´s get to the part that confused Jack a few parts back: Since we cleared up what Quincy attacks are let´s go over Hallows which is pretty easy: They use Ceros which is just a concentrated powerfull blast of spiritual energy at the target. The power, force, speed, and blast area of the Cero is dependent on the strength, spirtual power, and skill of the user. Shinigamis use Kido and can make various spells. They are produced with spiritual power and fall into two categories: Hado for direct attacks and Bakudo for battle support. They usually are triggered by an incantation but experienced users can use them without incantations, although they are likely to be weaker when chanted without incantation but much faster. The spells are on a scale from 1 to 99. 1 beeing the easiest and lesser powerfull and 99 being the most difficult and most powerfull spell - although a highly skilled Shnigami can cast low level spells with still devastating power since the power of the spell is also determined by the level of the spell, the skill of the user and the spirtual energy. ---- Rukia in this Episode used a spell with incantation (Bakudo 61) to make it stronger (and also higher spells are tougher to cast without incantation, especially for unexperienced users), it takes longer time but she bought time by using one spell without it (Bakudo 4) to hold down her enemy. Also it is kinda crazy how good Rukia is with Kido, since she casts Hado 73 without incantation.
