Fun fact: When Ayon attacked Rangiku, it ripped her entire side off, which was censored to "internal" injuries here in the anime. It was much more gruesome in the manga, which makes the fact that she's gravely injured much more apparent. Also Ulquiorra is the 4th Espada and Nnoitora was the 5th one, just for clarity!

You can think of Ayon like Mahoraga from JJK, it evolves as it fights, Yamamoto just clapped it early in its potential. Rangiku's torso was 9/10 obliterated like actual hole, one of the more egregious censorships.

The manga is MUCH more brutal than the anime. They censored the anime pretty hard for younger viewers. Rangiku actually lost like her entire right side of her stomach. Pretty much any time a injury doesn't look that bad but they make a big deal about it you can just assume it was way worse in the manga
