The Jojo stand names were never changed due to copyright, they are said correctly in the Japanese dub and Japanese versions of the games. The game devs of Eyes of Heaven explained they were told that they simply could not use the proper names because they were not Japanese. In other words, there is some kind of fucked, "JoJo Mandate" set by Shounen Jump, Araki, or one of their legal teams that insists that if you're not Japanese you cannot use the proper name for any stand. That's why sometimes a copyrighted stand is changed to the name of a different copyright, like Billie Jean to Kenny G. or Oingo Boingo to Zendatta Mandatta. Both changed names are still just as copyrighted as the originals. It seems to have started after a court case over the Vento Aureo PS2 game. It's like the Japanese JoJo copyright owners are mad they got sued by the west so they like refuse to let anyone outside of Japan use the names for revenge.
