THAT'S WHY AIZEN'S THE GOOOOOAT!! Also not only is Hitsugaya in 2 pieces if you look carefully he's actually in 3 pieces. Crazy that they had to censor Hiyori being cut into 2 but they don't have to censor Hitsugaya being cut into 3. Is it because she's a girl? Whack either way.

Like the other commenter said, using Kyoka suigetsu Aizen can easily prevent others from even sensing anything Ichigo does. Also, I'm pretty sure Aizen WAS really fighting them without Kyoka Suigetsu (or making it look like to Ichigo that he was fighting them) for almost the entire time at least up until the scene where Soifon aproaches which is where he prob starts using Kyoka Suigetsu to swap with Hinamori imo. It is implied that Aizen was fighting without Kyoka Suigetsu prior to Soifon showing up cause that's when Gin did his monologue about Aizen not needing Kyoka Suigetsu to win.

It could be an ego thing, he doesn't want Momo to learn how to live without him or something cause that means she overcame his manipulation to some degree

He was busy doing the objective best play to try to defeat Aizen, but ok.

Aizen for me really is the best written villain in fiction, the only one who even remotely competes with him is Madara or Pain.
