A small detail I like, is when Frieza is getting consumed by the Hakai, he says nearly verbatim what he said when he got consumed by the Spirit Bomb on Planet Namek, and lull and behold, the next time we see him, it's practically shot for shot, for how he appeared after surviving the Spirit Bomb.

I forgot how good this episode was. Has to be one of my favourites in all of dragon ball

Fortune Lekoto

Excluding future Zeno's multi-versal feat from the Goku Black arc, this episode had the second proper Universal feat performed in DBS with Top just casually erasing the entire Null Realm with that Hakai, it's a good thing this tournament happened in an uninhabited universe or else all mortals would be dead, and Frieza is so durable, he ate that Hakai point blank and only dropped down to his base form

Fortune Lekoto

you know it's a tough fight when Goku resorts to using the Full Nelson🤣😂

I love the detail of Frieza not being intimidated by Top's power-up because Frieza still can't sense energy, not even divine energy

All these next episodes are gonna be just straight heat😮‍💨😮‍💨

I think the reason they wrote Buu off the tournament was because he was too overpowered. He might not be as strong as Golden Frieza, but his techniques would have given Universe 7 the upper hand. He can regenerate infinitely and recover from any damage as long as he's alive, and killing wasn't allowed. He can heal teammates, he can turn people into candy, he can shape shift, and he can absorb others and add their power and abilities to his. They kinda had to write him off.

That's not true. Kid Buu was beating the crap out of Fat Buu and that was killing him / draining his life force. Buu was running out of energy in that fight, and they even commented that he was dying at the end of the Kid Buu fight. Dende had to heal him. The idea that you must obliterate Buu completely and that he doesn't take damage has been proven wrong many times. If someone is stronger than him, they can do some serious damage. He's just harder to kill than the average person

Fortune Lekoto

but that does not negate any of Buu's abilities that make him busted, especially for a tournament

Someone give me Frieza's confidence even after getting man handled like he did lmao.

The only one of those that I think is pretty insane is healing, but healing way less important in a tourney setting because fighters are not allowed to kill so they avoid lethal damage. His regen has a limit, and regen is completely bypassed by simply pushing him out of the ring anyway. Buu is prob not gonna absorb people, it could change his personality to something worse for the team or the future of Universe 7 which is too risky... and I think the team will just tell him to not use that power cause it's very villainous in nature. Even if he does absorb some strong people and becomes a huge threat, I think Top and Jiren are just so OP that he still gets ringed out by them for sure. He can turn people into candy, but I don't see that ever working on the strongest enemies. They can either dodge the beam, block it with some field of energy, or like Vegito maybe even fight as a piece of candy. Whether or not they can move as candy while being unable to fly is uncertain, but it can't be ruled out. Buu is also stupid as hell.... like REALLY stupid. He is prob going to get outsmarted, and he can't be trusted when it comes to teamwork. That alone disqualifies him as a good option in my book, I never thought he was a good addition to the team tbh. I personally think Frieza's sheer power was more valuable. That power ended up being needed in the end many times, where is as soon as the enemy sees Buu can heal or think he is dangerous they can just throw him out of the ring first chance they get cause he is not that strong compared to Frieza.

Nah fr they definitely had to take buu out for plot reasons and probably animation reasons too, cuz having to animate buu splitting into a hundred tiny versions of himself every time he was blown up would probably suck😭
