2026-09-06 00:00 They honestly do an amazing job about making you forget frieza is still in. My first watch I had completely forgot about him until goku collapsed. I thought frieza had attacked him, so he could claim the dragon balls himself. Would’ve been a hell of an ending but I love the one we got.

I like how in the manga they specifically call out that 17 COULDN'T have self-destructed, at least in the way they believed he did, since Krillin all the way back in the Cell saga, wishes the bombs out of both him and 18. I also really like that "I ain't no hero of justice" line from Goku. Not just as a really good character defining moment but also as an "Fuck You" to the original Z dub, portraying Goku like a shitty, inconsistent Superman.

By the way jack goku was literally riding on Jirens ki blast at the end he had balls of ki on his feet so he could jump off the blast Jiren was throwing so goku could get closer to end the fight.
