BRO that laugh at the kid first episode acc got me cracking up

Zoro9978

is it only me but the video stops every few seconds?

Sonon

Monet's "needle things" aren't random, they are ice picks

Umar Baig

Zoro didn't actually cut her with his sword but his ability was able to cut her even without touching her with his sword🔥🔥

Pyro Sasebo

For clarity, the only strawhats that have haki Luffy has Armament, Observation, Conquerors' haki Zoro has Armament, Observaton Sanji has Armament, Observation The 3 are the powerhouses of the Strawhats hence why generally the rest of the crew tends to divide using at least 1 of them for insurance. Zoro actually has had both haki since alabasta before we had any idea what that was.

Luck64

Mostly accurate

Galleon

Zoro and Sanji wont fight women, meanwhile Luffy punches Vivi in the face

Azael Santacruz

Jack this is not a Spoiler, and it was explain on an SBS i think, but just to clarify Monet fruit is the yuku yuki nomi (Snow Logia), she looked human on the flashback because she was human when she arrived at Punk Hazard, the wings and harpy legs were given to her by Law's devil fruit, like the other half-human-animals on the island, the centaurs on browns bead crew

Umar Baig

Jack can you pls start making weekly Schedule again since DBS and JJK are gone from the schedule??

Ben

Bro do you still not get momonosuke and kinemon alway cope if they are hurt, hungry, etc lol bc the samurai shit

Ruben Jacobs

I don't understand where Zoro's not hitting women thing came from. Pre-timeskip he had no problem brutalising miss monday and after this it will never come up again.

Desolate Garden

Zoro would rather defeat his enemy, and leave them in disgrace as to carry the burden of that failure if they are so weak as to be one shot, just like he had learned versus Mihawk I believe.

erueka6

Yeah this fight and situation was retarded and it makes all the reddit scum and fem bags screech with sexism like most things do it's annoying and made no sense. Don't know why zoro won't just tell failed kuina 2.0 to just stfu and stop assuming things and making shit up in her head.

erueka6

It's just a flying slash he's been able to do that since Skypiea he just has a different move for it not that complicated

Y0m0three

It's not about men and women for Zoro, for him it's about excuses. He won't fight an opponent seriously if they would blame their defeat on something like gender that in his eyes should be a non-factor given the right amount of training. If someone sees themselves as weaker than Zoro for any reason other than "this guy has worked harder than me" he won't take them seriously. Likewise if someone who was stronger than Zoro were to attach their strength to something like race or gender, Zoro will probably fight extra hard to prove them wrong, that's my take on it at least.

DiamonDust

Zoro cutting Monet in half and instilling the absolute fear of god in her is one of the best moments of this arc, so damn good. One of Zoro's most badass quotes in the entire series too. "Have you ever seen a fierce animal you were sure would never bite? Because I haven't". Just in case you didn't catch the full meaning of Zoro's quote, It's a metaphor where Zoro is the "fierce animal". He is saying Monet was a fool for assuming he was not a threat to her just because he hadn't chosen to "bite" her yet. Zoro's true nature is less of a gentleman who would never cut a woman and more like a wild beast who simply has a preference for what it attacks.

DiamonDust

Not for me, maybe just your internet

DiamonDust

I somehow never realized this lol

DiamonDust

And yes, Haki can be channeled through a weapon (in this case a sword) like you assumed. To summarize what you have seen in the series so far, Logia users can only be harmed by using Haki or attacking them with some weakness (usually an elemental weakness) that counters, alters, or otherwise destroys the properties of their body substance. Logia fruits are actually very rare even in the New World btw, that has not changed even though they are more common here than in the first half of the grand line. Logia are regarded as the strongest type of fruit aside from Mythical Zoans (think Marco the phoenix) because of the amazing powers they grant over elements. The one G5 soldier who is surprised there were two Logias here is right to be a bit surprised. Chances are most foot soldiers have likely never even fought a Logia user before, even in the New World.

DiamonDust

You say that, but Monet never said she was weaker than Zoro because she was a woman. I genuinely believe Zoro has an actual aversion to harming women in general, otherwise he would have had no problem with cutting Monet right away when she was trying to kill his friends and had even stabbed Robin. As for why he is averse to it, that part requires more guesswork and is not really explained. I think it definitely involves his trauma from Kuina's death, though. Maybe he feels as though he failed to protect Kuina and partly blames himself for her death, and now he has a tendency to protect women who are weaker than him or to just not harm them. This is supported by the fact that if you look back at the past arcs (and this arc), Zoro has consistently protected Nami and Robin on many occasions and has been seen saying things like "I won't protect you, you're a man" and such to weaker men on the crew like Usopp. Not that he won't protect men, but he def has a bias towards women I'd say.

DiamonDust

@erueka6 Geeze dude, chill. Blame Zoro's writing, not Tashigi's. Tashigi was just telling the truth of how Zoro had been written.

DiamonDust

@Ruben Jacobs to be fair miss monday was kinda roided up in appearance, maybe he didn't see her as a "delicate" woman so to speak.

DiamonDust

Based Luffy, a man of true gender equality. That was more of a punch to get her out of her delusion though to be fair, it helped her as he intended. Not that Luffy would not punch a girl in combat, he 100% would.

DiamonDust

Uh, debatable that Zoro had Haki pre-timeskip. I would say no. I will not go into it further because my argument would involve future events. Some will get what I'm saying, though.

DiamonDust

Eh, idk. Mihawk did that cause Zoro was worthy of his repect. Monet is just a trash person and has no honor or anything on top of that. I doubt he cares what she becomes.

BirthdayParty

Yeah, though it's more an aversion than an outright rejection compared to Sanji. Like, if push came to shove, Zoro will absolutely cut a bitch XD.

erueka6

I was what part of made no sense did you not get that's not how zoro should have been in this situation and I will always blame Kuina and Tashigi for being written dumb their whole thing is proven wrong nearly every second in a world of superhumans and powers and their to lazy to open a damn book and see how some of the strongest people in the world are women. I want to like Tashigi because she was awesome in the warriors games but thats ruined every time I see her in the show

Annelies Michiels

Since no one has answered it yet, the "dono" honorific is usally translated to Lord in English. I believe at some point the subtitles change Corpse-dono to Baron Corpse.

Noogai

You can also think of "dono" as the honorific commonly used by warriors or samurais just as how English Knights would use "milord" or like "monsiegneur" for the French. Another way to think of it is a more formal alternative to san and is lesser than sama in the level of respect.

DiamonDust

@erueka6 I mean, she said that stuff about wishing she was born a man pre-timeskip. She has not said it post-timeskip, likely because she realized the truth as you put it. You don't have to hold it against her anymore.

Cleric7

Zoro doesn't have a problem cutting a woman, he just refuses to cut anyone he considers weak. some of the agents in Baroque Works were women and he cut them down

Justin

zoro dick suckers coming in clutch in the comment section! lol

Just A Simple Pickaxe

You can't really base that on JUST tashigi's experience. It has nothing to do with women, it has to do with the fact that she looks JUST like Kuina
