I wanted to say you for actually having the timestamps appear on the screen. It has made things so much quicker syncing up with you now.

More One Piece ? Thank you

SidariYumanara

Smoker having to kinda work together with our crew/Law is one of my favourite things about this arc, I love his character so much.

Vinny Deluca

Smoker and vergo Haki-boxing is still one of my fave fights its short but goes so hard

chrisis

I broke the gear has to be one of the coldest lines in op

Nadeem idrisi

will you be watching solo leveling?

Been a Patron for about a year - first time commenting. Fantastic reaction. I forgot how epic this scene was. The slow realisation when the extent of Law's attack is revealed, and Jack's sanity slipping... haha

Maria

fyi armament haki isn't visible in universe. That black coating is only there for us

Remiel

Much needed QoL buff! It's so nice

Ruben Jacobs

As much as I love the anime I have to say the manga version of Grizzly magnum is so much better, he immediately breaks through instead of that weird pushing struggle that makes no sense.

I'm not sure if that statement can actually be proven? I would not advertise that as a fact, it's more of a theory. People still debate that to this day because there is no clear cut answer until Oda clarifies it in an SBS. My personal theory is that it is visible, but only to those who are using observation Haki. Fellow Haki users seem to be able to tell when the other is using Armament Haki just by looking at them, and I think that's likely because they can see each other's Armament with Observation Haki. It seems nonsensical to me that Observation Haki would not be able to see Armament Haki. It is referred to as "invisible armor" pre-timeskip, however this could mean that is is only invisible to those not using Observation Haki.

Law cutting the mountain in half and giving his speech is one of the top moments of OP no doubt. Still gives me chills every time I see it. You were correct that Law's "room" would have been as big as the entire mountain to slash that far, the "room" size is effectively the max range of his slash. I don't think Vergo or Doflamingo had realized how powerful Law had become, they were very overconfident as Law said himself. Law sliced straight through Vergo's armament haki with his own armament haki imbued slice if that was not clear. Law's room is powerful, but if someone has strong enough Haki they can block his slicing ability as implied by Smoker telling Tashigi her Haki was not strong enough to fight him. This scene also suggests that Law was not really fighting at 100% power until that moment, otherwise he should have been able to slice Smoker in half when Smoker blocked his slashes during their fight outside the lab. Smoker's Haki is said to be weaker than Vergo's. Law was likely conserving his energy throughout the arc by limiting his DF and Haki usage. All in preparation for that absurdly huge attack which required him to create a massive "room" to ultimately destroy the entire lab permanently.

DiamonDust

Eh, disagree. I think both would be cool in their own ways and I get the appeal of the manga version showing how much stronger Luffy was, but the struggle to me was more climactic and there was actually some tension from Luffy's hands being gradually petrified. Given Caesar's own strength even prior to releasing his ultimate form, I think it makes more sense that he would not be immediately blown away by a Grizzly Magnum and held out for a few seconds. I see both sides though.

Maria

Yeah, not arguing it's not noticeable to other haki users. Jack doesn't need to analyze the color difference in Smoker's and Vergo's haki tho

Remi

alright jack I stopped watching the OP anime ever since I joined your adventure and ill be waiting for you here come no matter the cost

Hey Jack, I started One Piece back in 2021 and dropped it for a while, part way through Baratie. I picked it back up when you were about to start Marineford and I'm happy to say that I've just now finally caught up to where you are. I'm looking forward to seeing your reactions to the rest of One Piece going forward :D
