insane reveal, also if you go back to ep 601 when everyone is in the same cage, caesar was about to squish "smokers" heart which would have revealed that it was actually monet's ruining everything but it was monet herself that interrupted it, ultimately unknowingly killing herself

The letter at the end of sentences is the Å, scandic letter, its probably just a formatting error in the subtitles though when they try to emphesis certain words.

I will also say the Arc after this one is so full of flashbacks and recaps and stuff that it is famously super bad, you could probably skip a bunch of it, cause I believe you actually could save hours over the course of that long entire arc

Yep. The decision to stretch scenes out to infinity to avoid catching up to the manga is a lazy and horrible solution. They should have just created filler arcs like Naruto and Bleach did rather than make us sit through hours of still shots and repeat animations. Sabotaging canon content is so frustrating to see. 😞

@Eddy It has not improved at all imo. The worst sections of pacing I have ever seen from any anime in my entire life are in the OP arc that just finished. It's still potentially my favorite arc, but the amount of stalling is shameless.

Miniature rant time. I am not a fan of a certain aspect of Monet's death (even though her death scene is masterfully done). That aspect is If Monet had not been very conveniently stabbed at that exact moment, everyone except Caesar would have 100% perished. One of the themes of this arc is Zoro's speech that "this was just the beginning of the New World" and how the Straw Hats needed to take things more seriously. Shortly after that, Zoro leaves Monet alive in the biscuit room after purposely not using his Haki to kill her and just... walks away after Tashigi slashes her a single time??? 😭 Zoro's careless decision would have cost them all of their lives if they had not been bailed out by pure luck. And none of the Straw Hats even know that almost happened, so there is no lesson to be learned since it all worked out by some miracle. Even if the nuke button did not exist (cause Zoro didn't know about it), Monet is very strong and could quite easily kill some of the less powerful Straw Hats while they were separated. She could sabotage the Straw Hats as a whole in any number of ways. I cannot even give Zoro or Tashigi the benefit of the doubt in thinking she was going to die on her own. Fact is, she was not only NOT close to dying - she was able to completely stand up and walk to the room with the nuke button. These are two expertly trained swordsman, so I do not buy that they can't judge the lethality of a sword wound they inflict or witness. Anyway, just wanted to bring this up cause I think it was a rare writing miss from OP that was not consistent with one of the important themes of the arc.

Unfortunately, as a first time watcher he doesn't really have the option to just skip scenes since he does not know where the empty scenes are or how long they drag. Even on rewatch it's often hard to skip around effectively without missing canon scenes because they will alternate bad anime pacing with normal manga pacing quite often. That's why I think OnePace is a beautiful thing, but I would not expect a reactor to use or endorse it for reactions.

IKR. It's actually way better for us that he did not realize. Now he is going to flip a table when he sees who it is and when they appear.
