Twitch Design (Patreon)

So I used to stream daily, Monday - Friday but through Live Stream and I really enjoyed the atmosphere with hanging out with friends while I worked. After having been incredibly withdrawn from just about everything I started to venture back into some bits of Social Media, mostly just Instagram and even then, I'd check it maybe once a week.

Youtube had been something I've had an interest for even if I'm not the best public speaker, and really enjoyed making videos previously for my Patreons, but with doing commission work vs Patreon vs everything that was happening in my family life, all aspects of my art were hit and I went quiet on the Youtube front.

I started dabbling in it once I logged in after two years and saw there were 800+ subscribers when I left with 300, which in the grand scheme of things isn't that much at all, but it made me feel good in myself that there were people who were subscribing even if I wasn't posting, so I wanted to do something again for them.

Youtube allows you to stream, so I've been streaming now and again over that platform and I enjoyed it. Not many people would come, but the atmosphere felt like the old days with my regulars popping up one by one even after all of this time. Picarto isn't exactly a love of mine, and LiveStreams quality had gone down hill - but I have had friends suggest Twitch. I didn't think I'd like it as I assumed it was nothing but gamers on the platform, but low-and-behold my first day streaming there people popped in and were really friendly. I joined a couple of streamers when I had finished for the day and they gave me words of encouragement. Today marks 5 days on the platform, and I'm already going to be affiliated by the time 7 days is reached and even if thats not that impressive in the bigger picture, these little goals are doing me a world of good.

I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve, and I've never been comfortable sitting in front of a webcam for strangers, but I'm trying to learn to love myself and this is giving me a new outlet to find my creativity. I can't sleep because I'm excited about all of these things happening and thats a feeling I haven't had in years.
