From what I understand, if you join after the 1st of the month, you are not charged anything until the start of the next month. During the "free" month you get access to Patreon only posts, but not the in game rewards. I guess it is easier for Kinkoid to keep to a set day each month for Patroen payments rather then having to take payments and issue rewards throughout the month.
