Mighty Oak

Look like she is going to break out this one on her own? I'm confused. Is this just self-reflection since her mind is imprisoned by Banshee or is she is unrevealing her powers? I though she did that with Hyena back in Chapter 3. She shouldn't be able to break free since Banshee is mentally stronger. I'm kind of confused and disappointed in the page. NGL.

Mighty Oak

Don't be mad, but I don't understand this page. Is she holding herself back and has more power? If so, she already should have tapped into that power with Hyena. So her soul is stronger than Banshee all this time and she is letting her herself get roped? I'm just at a loss here.

I guess we were all wrong about them getting the bad end. Hate fucking could happen with "blessed" results. But it's best not to get your hopes up.

Minori isn't exactly holding back. She is coming to terms with herself, accepting who she truly is bit by bit. If you read what she does throughout the webcomic carefully, you'll see that she frequently is fighting herself (in her mind), and refusing to use her full power for fear of hurting her friends. That is a consistent theme with her ever since. And despite her friends having told her that they accept her, Minori hasn't come to terms with herself yet. It's a hard to understand concept, but it's a real thing, you can't go all out if you are having issues within yourself, with yourself, which you need to resolve first. In real martial arts there's a similar concept, it's important to have a clear conscious, to be at peace with yourself, and to be able to focus on the opponent in front of you. As well as having the resolve to fight. If you hesitate, if something is weighing on you, there is no way you can fight with all your strength.

Thank you for replying to me. Okay, so she is just talking to herself. By reading the page the second time and you explaining the page, it all makes sense now. Yeah, knowing Minori, it’s going to take some time coming to terms with herself, and I don’t think she will be able to break anyway on her own immediately. Also, she is wrapped in chains surrounded by thick brick walls. This shows us that Banshee is incredibly mentally stronger than Minori by putting her in an unbreakable mental prison. We all know Minori is physically strong but not mentally and emotionally. Stuff like that takes time. And when you say bit by bit, its probably going to take more than a day instead of her breaking out immediately. When she said to herself, “you can’t afford to fight yourself forever”, she needs to come to terms with herself and that will take a lot of time. Accepting yourself could take weeks, even months. So she is officially out fight and has to collectively work on herself for now. She needs to accept and save herself, so she can save her friends and that is going to time.
