There were 5 international agreements assuring ukraines territory signed by russia in the first place. Thinking a 6th one is the solution for this war is what I call brain damage.

I definitely agree with de-escalating, not sure how that should take shape though. If concessions are made in the light of nuclear threats, what will Putin demand next in the same manner? This would not be the end of it. And the likes of China, Iran, South Korea are taking notes. Yielding to these threats don't make the future on this planet better. A deal still has to be reached though, but Putin clearly has to come out of this at least somewhat battered. I believe Ukrain should at least get back all pre invasion territories
