Dev update #60 (Patreon)
Content
Fortunately, this week was not as bad as I expected. I have about 4 hours of power each day, and I run the generator for about 2 hours as well. Sometimes a bit longer. I won't lie, I've never been so productive in my life, lol. I usually work leisurely. I Can spend hours just for one render, especially if it's complicated and require some attention to clothes, hair, light etc. Or when I face some issue and try to fix it. But now, when I know that I'm limited with time, man...
Just trust me when I say that I'm doing an impossible thing while working under such circumstances. I not only do posing and rendering in such little time, but also learned to turn off my head to be able to stay creative, which is important. I had problems with that after the last release, and that's kind of one of the reasons I started working on this update a bit later. I'm not whining or bragging. Just sharing with you my experiences and thoughts. If I could work faster and create more, I would.
Now to the progress, I made this week. Raised the numbers to 313 renders and 7 animations. Finished working on a huge cinematic. Though, cinematic might not be the right word for this particular piece. It's more like a slideshow, but I'll refer to it as one. It's 2 minutes and 20 seconds long :) Tomorrow I'll finish a scene I've been working on for the last two weeks and start preparations for the next one. It'll require some new environments, maybe new clothes. So I guess you can expect a new cosmetic poll soon. I guess we'll have to choose a new outfit for Octavia and maybe Liu.
I'm making good progress despite the situation, and I really like how this update begins to take its shape. It's too early to talk about the whole update, but at least the beginning already looks and feels pretty interesting and rich for the events.
I have really complicated scenes planned for the next part of this update, and they might require more effort and time to make. If I had more GPU memory, it won't be a problem, but we have what we have. In any case, we're moving forward.
This image is one of the special renders I made this week, hope you like it. The whole set is available here.
I wanted to create a public Christmas render this month, but I just didn't have time. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow. But if not, then Merry Christmas to everyone!
Also, How to Fix the Future is nominated for the Adult Game of the Year award. Vote here: https://www.spicygaming.net/blog-article/249
That's it for now. Thank you for your support, have a nice weekend and stay safe!
