Hi, everyone.

I haven't planned on writing another dev update before the release, but it's been almost a week since the last one, and I know I promised a release by this time already. So I just want to give you some update on the current progress.

The polishing phase took me longer than I expected. There are many reasons for this. I underestimated the amount of work once again. Last week I finished all dialogues, code, post-work, and animations. But the real polishing didn't start until after that. I had to replay several paths countless times to check if everything worked right. The code became quite complicated, so it took me a while to fix some of the issues and bugs. I also had to focus on typos, missed dialogues, or other issues. Take notes on which render to fix, etc. Another part is music and sound effects. I've spent a couple of days picking and implementing the right music, which is always hard.

In short, the polishing phase is still ongoing, that's why I haven't released the update yet. I still have to work on special renders, the replay gallery, fix some of the renders, pick two more songs for a couple of scenes, add sound effects where needed, and play through each of the paths a couple of times to make sure it plays smoothly and feels right. After that, the group of beta testers will do the same.

So the release is delayed again until next week. Thank you for your patience and for your support. This time it's definitely the last post before the release.

Have a nice weekend and take care.

Sorry that it's taking you longer with coding, I know decision paths can be a pain to work out. But we're confident you can make the update great!

I just joined this month, so... I have no say in this. But I am excited to read dev/status updates (I love reading them; they're such fun) and to find out that my first up-to-date release of HtFtF is coming out so soon after just joining! First up-to-date release after joining always holds a special place in my heart, and I can't wait for it! GL on the EP!

Thank you. Yeah, keeping track of them, checking it in the code and keep the right flow is really a challenge) But I'm not complaining)

You have a rubber ducky you talk to about your code to help? Hah, either way from the complexity of previous versions I'm sure this one will be no less exceptional!

Huh, no. But I actually have a figure of an astronaut on my desk, so kinda the same) Thanks
