I have bad news :( yesterday morning my pc wouldnt start up anymore. I took it to a repair store, hoping it wouldnt be much of a problem. But the motherboard is broken. They are now trying to save my files but told me the pc is done for and I have to find a new one. Tax hit me hard this year and I'm nearly broke but I'm doing my best to find a pc soon! Its best to stay positive. But... For now all I can do is draw on paper and make pictures on my phone x.x I'm really sorry about this! I will try my best to resume things asap. Meanwhile feel free to request things you guys would like to see drawn traditionally ^^

That really sucks, hopefully they can save your files and all the best in finding a nice cheap but working PC. We love and support you :D hope this gets fixed for you soon!

PC as in a deskop right? You could perhaps look in for a laptop, and a monitor extra? Or those laptops that also function as drawing tablets that can stand in a V-shape?? ALSO, I recommend using a hard drive or saving online in dropbox or google drive. Best of luck!

Oh!! Also, maybe you could make a gofundme for this? I would not mind to donate some 🙋

You may be able to contact either the Free Geek store in PDX or check to see if there is a Free Geek in your area to obtain a reasonable quality (albeit slightly older) PC that you can use until you save up for a real nice one. The highest end laptops sold at Free Geek were something like $200.

If that proved to be a viable option, you could start a GoFundMe page and folks could donate, and then have Free Geek ship it to you. I think you were coming out of Canada, so VAT being a pain might be avoided since it's used, and claiming the items vavalue could be limited. That is pr9bably your best option at this time. M

Have you managed to recover your files yet? If you are having trouble, look into getting a USB 3.0 (2.0 is fine) to SATA cable, you'll be able to plug your HDD in one end, and the other into any USB port and transfer your files. Make sure you get one for the right size hard drive though - 2.5" and 3.5" are different types of hard drives, you can get a cable that works for both though.

That's too bad. I share your pain. Not recently, but I tend to kill computers just by looking at them. If you don't know what kind of PC you are looking for there are a lot of guides online. I don't know if you game but if you do and your old pc had a graphics card try salvaging it. GPUs, and some computer stuff is kinda expensive right now. But best of luck getting your data back and a new computer. Whatever happens We'll still be here for you. And, if you have any tech questions you need help with I'd like to offer any help I can. I break computers by looking at them so I've gotten pretty good at fixing them and computer stuff in general. Good luck.

Thank you, today i heard they could save my files, so thats a relief ^^

Yes, I use a desktop. But a laptop might be nice too. And yes! I will make a back-up from now on xD i learned my lesson

Lucazu

Thanks for that ^^ my old pc is still at the repair shop though and I got a phonecall today saying my files are save and they can replace the broken parts. If possible i hope i can buy these parts soon and stick to my pc cuz I'm so used to it.

I'm really clueless when it comes to pc stuff xD but the files are save :D I got a call today from the shop

Lucazu
