Hi Tim :) I got to ask you too, what was the nastiest/extreme/bad/illegal thing you ever did as a child/teenager and did you get away with it? And on a more serious tone, if you had the opportunity to change one thing about the world with a great impact on humanity, what would that be?

Dina

Hey Tim, is there any chance that you will play Petrichor on the Ihsahn tour? Would be a great choice, as you didn't play it on the last European tour😁 And another question if you don't mind: Do you have plans to record one of your concerts for a bluray/dvd release sometime in the future? Fan-filmed youtube videos just don't do you justice🙁😉

Hello Tim, This is more of a suggestion than question. But please discuss this! I am fairly surprised that after or during your tours, the Patreon supporters stay about equal in size. I know that it's very difficult subject as a band to promote Patreon during the tour. The people coming to shows already provide you with so much support. But I believe that the merchandise desk would be the prime spot to make people aware about it all. I know that this is a fine line to walk, but I'm sure that you won't lose people already on board? Having like a small banner/paper with the Patreon & NeO logo *ask us about it!* Then perhaps like a small flyer or something on paper with the main bullet points that people can take with them. I'm sure that you'll be able to print the flyers out on location and have it delivered to prevent the flying/shipment. Anyway, what's your favourite & least favourite animal? :)

Tina

Hey Tim, this isn't a question for Tim, the violinist, the singer and generally nicest guy in metal (now you're getting suspicious...), but for Mr. Charles, the manager: Why are there so few articles, interviews or concert report about NeO in higher ranking metal magazines (print & online)? Since everyone in the band always mentions how hard it is to break through in Germany, I did some research and only found 3 mentions regarding NeO in Metalhammer/Germany (reviews for Portal of I and Citadel in 2012 and 2014 and a short article about the Patreon launch in 2016, all very favourable), 2 mentions in Rockhard Magazine (an interview with Xen after the Citadel release in 2014 and review for Urn, both very positive, too). Legacy Magazine presented the 4 German dates in April 2018, but again no interview or concert review, only short note about the cancelled tour in 2017 and the fact that Legacy presented your 2018 tour. How come? Is is so hard to get an appointment? Or is it expensive? Or are you waiting for the journalists to contact you? Are unsolicited calls to magazines an big "don't" in your business? I mean, Metalhammer is now presenting the (German dates of the) Ihsahn tour, so wouldn't it be a good idea to invite someone to have an interview, watch the shows and write a concert report? Most of your interviews are either with webzines or Youtubers, which is fine, but these high level classical metal magazines have a far bigger reach. And using social media for promotion is fine, but people will only see your tour and music announcements if they already know and follow you. I'd be very interested to learn more about the business and what your thoughts are and why there is so little to read about NeO in (printed) metal magazines. Thanks and see you soon!

Hello Tim, thank you for taking the time to do this...Xen is , he says, in 2 more bands except NeO, are you planning to start new music projects? You know, so you can better explore your fuzzy and bubbly side that Xen hates ..:))) Thank you!

Øyvin Stensdal

Good day, Tim! Not sure if this question have been asked before, but I'll post it anyway. Are there any musical ideas you would like to implement or explore further in Ne Obliviscaris, that maybe didnt fit with the sound on the other albums or, you simply havent got to yet ? Or do you even have ideas for other projects you would like to work on, like your collab with Persefone? Best of luck on your tour, I'll be seeing you in Göteborg in 2 weeks, traveling from Norway!

Question for Tim - in terms of Welkin Entertainment/Progfest what are some things that you look for when trying to book bands/negotiate who to bring on tour or for the festival?

João Eiras

Hi Tim. Have you guys considered other kinds of non-full length albums ? Like collaborations, with some other talented people you toured (Ihsahn?) with or less known artists or the acoustic EP/album ? Cheers :) PS: could you PLEASE do a interview with Jari and later with Ihsahn and post them to Patreon ? PSS: can I have a NeO buff ? :p

Sylvio Neves Neto

What advice would you give to someone who is learning their first instrument? What was the last song you heard that left an impact on you? As a member os the NeO group and the ne obluminati, we feel really close to you guys. Do you feel this support and proximity changed (even a bit) the way the band is? If xen is really a vampire, would you rather be one too, or be able to eat garlic? Brazil has asked you to come here plenty of times, I believe. What are the biggest setbacks (in planning or finances) to get over here?

Eva

🙈 Completely in holiday mood, so I forgot to post my question. If it’s too late for this time, just leave it here and I’ll ask again 😉. And if it’s too personal, just ignore it. Knowing how hard it is yourself, would you advice your daughter to become a touring musician?

Anonymous

Shoot, I'm late on the deadline. But I am curious if it's not too late, how did you come to join NeO?

Tina

He met Xen on a forum about music (15+ years ago). They talked about string instruments in metal. Tim said he played the violin. Xen invited him to a rehearsal. The rest is history. 😎

João Eiras

That question was asked already a couple of time so you can check the older interviews.
