With our recent announcement that we are playing Download Festival Australia this March it got us thinking about what bands we would love to see on the festivals we play... and also all you out there!

So what is YOUR dream festival line-up? Respond in the comments below!

We'll set a limit at 10 BANDS (and the proviso that they must be currently active), that you would most love to see included when you are going to a festival.

Xen & I will respond with ours later this week!

Interesting question! I've tried to keep mine realistic (a couple of big headliners, then more mid-tier bands), but get the local influence in there... Avantasia (3-hour 20th anniversary show) King Diamond (Abigail in full) Dream Theater (Scenes from a Memory in full) Opeth Epica (Design your Universe in full) Steven Wilson Sirenia Ne Obliviscaris Orpheus Omega Seraphic

Bill Buehler

In no particular order: 1. NeO 2. Opeth 3. Leprous 4. Caligula's Horse 5. Soen 6. Dark Tranquility 7. Anathema 8. Judas Priest 9. Tool 10. Be'Lakor

Sam Farrell

'Must be currently active' makes this considerably more difficult. But let's go: Ne Obliviscaris (duh), Arcturus, Borknagar, Winterfylleth, Wintersun, Devin Townsend, Subsignal, Ihsahn, Be'lakor, Caspian.

Neil Savage

1. NeO 2. Allegaeon 3. Rivers of Nihil (the first 3 are from a dream gig earlier this year...) 4. Septicflesh 5. King Crimson 6. Cult of Luna with Julie Christmas 7. The Ocean Collective 8. Equilibrium 9. Hawkwind 10. Epica

Dakara

Ne Obliviscaris Cradle of Filth Opeth Sylvaine In Vain Advent Sorrow Rotting Christ Deadspace Amorphis Harakiri for the Sky

Ne Obliviscaris and Alcest as headliners, that’d be enough for me

Avintha Fonseka

Alongside NeO, these are my 10 - quite hard to pick just 10, but at the same time all I had to do is check my playlist ... Alcest Emperor/ Ihsahn - this means I am very happy to see Ihsahn live again if Emperor is not there Der Weg einer Freiheit - the band I always mispronounce..but they are amazing! Harakiri For The Sky Gojira Behemoth Mgla Chelsea Wolfe Swallow the Sun Amorphis

Eric Heinke

Neo, Enemy Inside, Rotting Christ, Everygrey, Darkwater, Enslaved, Exmortus, Ancient Bards, Destruction, and Powerwolf. I know we can only have 10, but loved to see Entwined from Finland such a great band!!

Moon Moon

And Dream Theater (performing every song on Images And Words or Awake would be cool, and they should play A Change Of Seasons), Ayreon, Cult Of Herodias, Cairiss (although they have no full-length album yet), Carach Angren, Pain Of Salvation, Nightland, Apocalyptica

Gus Pirie

NeO Ghost Gojira Behemoth Jinjer Mastodon Power Trip Voivod Candlemass Soulfly
