I'm thinking Tomb Mold and Blood Incantation will get alot of love. Fit For an Autopsy will continue to prove deathcore as as legitimate. Cattle Decapitation's Death Atlas is being released too late to be getting in all the polls but will probably be good. Alcests' Spiritual Instinct I'm thinking will be seen as a bit of a disappointment. Saor's Forgotten Paths and Obsequiae's Palms of Sorrowed Kings will be on every DnD metalheads list, while the (imo) equally good release by more mainstream band Eluveitie will go unpraised. TYRs album will be entirely forgotten. And Finally, Insomnium's album will kick ass like always and be ignored because it's melodeath.

Bradford Lockard

Just to clarify, I don't think Spiritual Instinct is a bad album, I love many of the songs. But compositionally as an album I felt like this release doesn't quite hold up to a release like Kodama

Dan Schieffer

Insomnium and Eluveitie got my top 2 (respectively) Heart like a Grave is fucking fantastic, and I've been hardcore on the Eluveitie train since Slania

Bradford Lockard

Awesome! I hope I'm proven wrong about my prediction for these two Because I love these albums.

Dan Schieffer

They're both fantastic! I feel like NeO is such a unique band that a lot of us on here probably have very vast tastes so I'm actually super curious to see what wins out

Each Patron gets to submit one list whereby they can choose 10 albums, ranked from 1-10. People can't submit multiple top 10's though. :-)

Josh lynn

Heilung and devin townsend made my top 2

Bethany

Insomnium are definitely in my top 10!

Moon Moon

I’m a lazy girl and there are so many left to give a listen to that came out within 2019... must decide other five albums within a month! 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

Bethany

Heh I could only do 8 I really, really loved. The last 2 were albums I haven't listened to nearly enough

Ne Obliviscaris

Yes same here, I have listened to a lot, but lots of bands I like that haven't listened to enough yet. Lots of listening to do in next couple weeks! - Tim

Daniel Marrable

Anyone listen to Andy Gillion's new album Neverafter ? just WOW and Jeff Loomis giving a widly widly on one of the tracks too!

Sarah Yucel

My struggle is in what order and whom to fit in the ten.. So a question: Do we count EP’s in or just full length album’s?

Ne Obliviscaris

If an EP is good enough I guess you could include it :-) - Tim

My AOTY 2019 is by far Age of Excuse (Mgla). Especially AOE III is one of the best black metal songs I've ever listened. Heart Like A Grave (Insomnium) and Pantheon Of The Nightside Gods (Belzebubs) are 2nd and 3rd respectively, but the rest I really don't know yet tbh. Have yet to listen to new Opeth and Tool so maybe those albums can surprise me, who knows.

Sander

Not sure if I should spell it as 'Batushka' or 'БАТЮШКА', but that one. Panihida, not Hospodi.

Matthew John McBride

Sabaton - The Great War was my album of the year! Valley of the Sun - Old Gods and As I Lay Dying - Shaped By Fire rocked too

Sarah Yucel

..and so finaly my list is submissed. Had to close it to keep me sane! :)
