Dan, please reconsider your stance on vaccination again, I beg you. First, thinking Covid-19 has a 99,9 % recovery rate means vastly underestimating this disease. It's not harmless. Your number clearly says it: 1 person in 1000 infected dies. Many more have a severe case and struggle with longterm damages. And it's not only old people and people with previous health issues. Today 3.600 people died in the US, 1.300 in the UK and 1.000 people in Germany of Covid-19. Risking to contract the virus thinking it'll just be a mild cold is a gamble like Russian roulette. Second, without herd immunity we will never be able to end this pandemic. Herd immunity has only ever been achieved by vaccination and with Covid-19 scientists estimate about 70% of the population needs to be vaccinated (worldwide). Otherwise there won't be mass events (like festivals or concerts) again, there won't be free travelling, there will be distancing and masks, and the whole world will struggle from one lockdown to the next, if we want to protect the lives of people and avoid a huge death toll. And surely as a musician in a touring band you want concerts and festivals again? Of course it's your right to choose not to get vaccinated and be in the 30% group that doesn't need to be vaccinated, but maybe we should leave thos option to the small group of people who can't get vaccinated for certain medical reasons and for the ever growing group of stupid and blinded anti-vaxxers who generally think vaccinations are a bad thing and diseases just a natural part of life (they might try polio or tetanus maybe)? You're a young, healthy and smart person. Please don't get Covid-19 and please get vaccinated when it's your turn in a few months. 🖤🙏
