Oh my lord.. That's freaking amazing! I would almost sacrifice my cat for this. Wait, I don't really like my cat that much anyway. I must rethink this statement.. Good luck everyone.

YES PLEASE!!! Loving these competitions guys, thanks heaps! :)

Bethany

Might need to redecorate a tad if I won it, but hey!

I'd prefer questions that give me less chances but teach me things. Like 'Explain the grammatical structure of the title 'of petrichor weaves black noise' ^^

Ne Obliviscaris

Greetings! Tim was sick today so the live draw got postponed but will be done in the next day or two at latest so stay tuned!

Anca

Get well soon! the draw can wait, health is more important!

Jainash Prakash

Petrichor is essentially the smell of rain (like you know that smell after it rains). So my understanding is Black Noise is like bad memories/trauma. So together the idea is "the smell of rain reminds me of bad memories", which interpret is about how certain things remind us of bad things in our lives.

I understand the vocabulary, it's the grammar that I don't get (but I'm not a native English speaker). Preposition (of) followed by a name (petrichor - that could also be considered as an adjective if necessary, anyway it's a neologism); then verb or plural name (weaves), but if it's a verb, it's not the right form to come after the preposition 'of', then adj(most likely)/name (black) and name (noise). I would expect 'Petrichor weaves black noise' or 'Of petrichor weaving black noise'. Maybe an elision of a that ? "Of petrichor (that) weaves black noise"?

The reason I'm wondering is that I'm analyzing the lyrics of POI in term of word origin and one of the variable I look into is "part of speech"

Janja Uplaznik

We are still waiting for that draw tho. Hope Tim's better soon!

Ne Obliviscaris

Still not great... :( But hoping to draw this finally tomorrow, Thursday at latest

Jainash Prakash

Janja Uplaznik

Okay i am getting seriously worried about Tim now! :(

Jarrad Harrison

Hey guys, has this been drawn yet? Not being pushy, just dying of anticipation ;)

Hayden Ryan

"of petrichor weaves black noise" in this moment, (of) petrichor weaves black noise.
