The songs that didn't make Portal of I were released on the 2 x crowdfunding EP's in 2014 FYI. So not really much else to release from those early days actually. Cover song or two could be cool! - Tim

What about an acoustic arrangement of the entire album? Kind of like an unplugged set, but with some plugs. 😁 And drums must be present too, but a more stripped back kit. This or a fully plugged show with an orchestra.

It's maybe too much but I thought about a contest of musicale interpretation by Patreon's members, and the winner wins a place on your future album. I find this idea amazing but I don't know if it's doable and I totally understand if you can't! (I gave this idea but I even don't play any instrument 🤣)

Xen actually brought up whether we could redo Plague with orchestra or some other stuff added. No idea if we could pull it off, but always good to toss around a lot of ideas and then feel out which makes most sense after sitting with them a while. Thanks for sharing your ideas BK! - Tim

Hey Angy! That could be cool, though it might limit people that don't play an instrument and wherever possible we try to be as inclusive as possible. But we'll keep in mind the competition/music interpretation idea for POI for sure. - Tim

Hmm, that's fair. I'll go with the cover songs then. Final answer. Maybe you guys could create a list of songs you would be down to cover and then we could vote on one or two or five that would get recorded. :) That or any cool artwork or trinkets for sale works for me. I've got all three of your album covers in flag form hanging on my wall. Ooh, wouldn't mind flags of the EP's artwork to complete the set.

Yes, that sadly what I thought... Maybe we can think about amelioration to include as much people as we can (with a clip, a make up, dress up and a post-prod contest... Anyway, thank you to keep it in mind ! And thank you for asking us for some ideas !!

Vinyl and T-shirts with Xen's amazing artwork are always welcome ❤ and as the amazing people before me suggested, some sort of jewelry like maybe a pendant, ring or bracelet inspired by song lyrics or the album artwork would be stunning 👀

Slightly different idea - But I'd love to see a documentary or interview sessions on the making of Portal of I and early years of NeO. There isn't a huge amount of info available but from what I know this was a true labour to make that took a lot of time.

I’m gonna say it: I don’t really mind about exclusive coins or about a poster that will stay folded inside a vinyl gatefold. Actually the only thing I really care about is to have POI in a nice LP edition. I’m sure there will be a lot of great ideas to go with it (I just read about a necklace, rings, even shoes), but can you please consider to also sell the LP without anything else?

I don’t want to drag down the whole experience for everyone. I insist: be creative, release crazy stuff, most people are interested in that I guess. What I ask is that we can have the choice. If there is a no-bundle option, a LP-and-nothing-else option, there is still plenty of room for LP-and-whatever-collector-item options too. :-)

I'd vote for Cormac's idea. Also: I don't know if you have enough recorded material for it, but it would be great a video with the best interpretations of each of the Portal of I songs throughout your tours. Greetings, Margarita.

Oh, how time flies.. So what could one do to make it special! I think Cormac’s idea is a good one. A “special” vinyl re-release with some limited goodies to go. If you decide to do a special POI live show make it a live-streamed one as well. :) And perhaps why not a Xen made belt buckle carved/etched POI art that can go on any fabric of choice or on shoulder strap for bags, backpacks etc.. :)

Many people talking about vinyl, but I find the current CD package lacking for such a magnificent album. The white tray in contrast to color scheme of there rest is bit of an eyesore. A new, better package where you could maybe include some new art on it (like those from Plague/Forget vinyls) would be so cool. Definitely can be a limited edition.

I'll echo the vinyl thing even though I finally got one of the hard to get variants for this album earlier this year lol. Wall flags would be sick, maybe a behind the scenes of creating that album if possible. Either a tour for the album or a live stream show that we can download after would be awesome. Hell reimagined art from Xen too would be awesome.

Mostly, I would love it for some of the old b and w t-shirts to come back.. Second, a poi tour would be amazing, but I can also see how it would be difficult now when you did not get to release and tour on the new album this year.. Buuuut one can always hope. I mean, if the new album is out later next year, you might be able to do a poi tour, and then come back for eu tour for the new album, right.. And last, if people wish an item as poi special, I vote for a unisex bracelet.

Oh yes, and if to do a redu on some of the poi songs, please include yours and Xens vocals, both of you have improved so much since back then, and I would love to hear how your take on the vocals would be today.

Well, most bands are lacking in this, but I would love a good tank top. I live in Florida, where it is hot 11 out of the 12 months of the year. I have 3 hoodies that stay in pristine condition because I never get to wear them. So tank tops (preferably not white lol) would be most welcome.

I love the idea of the ring, but really it would have to be part of a special preorder bundle for sure, due to the variety of sizes people would need. Might not be something you want sitting on a store shelf with weird sizes. OR you could combine it with a necklace so people have the option to wear a ring on a necklace or the finger, that way ring sizes could have flexibility in production and be more cost efficient… just an idea

Given the current state of covid in the world, I doubt we will be seeing live shows any time soon, especially an international tour. How about a live streamed show? I would pay full ticket price for that to help support you guys. For including in the 10yr bundle, what about a digital/cd/vinyl re-release of Aurora Veil, Sarabande to Nihil and/or Hiraeth?

NeO's problem with live stream shows is that 4 members are in Australia, but 1 in France and 1 in Italy, and either the 4 can't leave Australia or the 2 can't enter it, but hopefully this will change sooner or later.....😕🤞

Yeah I know. Why were we cursed to love a global band so much?! Wonder what the magic of technology could do to solve the problem. Genuinely don't know. But at a certain point here we aren't going to get the 4th album until a 5th is ready. If we are waiting for global covid cases to cease, it is going to take a long long time before shows and new material can be played.

I think that a special live-streamed/recorded show would be a great idea because there only exists pro-shot footage of Plague and none of the other POI songs, as far as I know. Maybe you could even release it as a BluRay+CD package as Tesseract did with Portals.

A 10 year anniversary vinyl box set with any extras you guys think of would be awesome. Maybe a wooden box? I know it's been asked a million times, but it would be perfect if Hiraeth and Sarabande to Nihil were included as bonus tracks on a third LP.

1. A book with the tabs/music notation would be cool, or at the very least a PDF. 2. Streaming concert: Benji and Tino would have to be prerecorded, the rest can play live 3. We need new merch, metal pins, scarves, buffs, beanies 4. A retrospective documentary about the album, where you guys talk about the composition and recording process. 5. POI unplugged :p

João, yes I fully understand that. I have copies of them both on CD. However, I think releasing them together on vinyl as a bonus third LP in a special edition package of PoI could be an alternative that everyone is happy with? Surely most of the original crowd funding backers would love an opportunity to have them on vinyl too.

I have a far fetched Idea, that is difficult! Basically making a 10 minute mash up track.. By using certain parts of the lyrics from each of the 7 Tracks on the Album.. into 1 single song with a new meaning behind it. That would be really interesting to me for the 10th Anniversary XD

Joao - They do have a Portal of I guitar tab book for sale on bandcamp last I checked. Plus there's a recording of a live stream somewhere floating about here of the acoustic NeO show in Japan

it makes me so sad when people who own the cds are being salty when this question is asked. i forked over $400 for these cds secondhand. and i gotta say. it only makes me want a rerelease more... would i then sell these copies? heck no! but the songs are so good, and i seriously think people need to hear them. not to mention, id kill for a vinyl release... and the artwork on hiraeth is my favorite art Xen has ever done. so really i do not understand people getting upset when people ask this question.....
