How did you come to be in a metal band as a violinist?

Anonymous

How long have you been working with/on your voice? do you have any tips for a beginner? also, what the hell are you doing with your hair, it is majestic! :)

Anonymous

what were your life plans when you were young? were you planning to be a kick-ass musician from the start, or did you have something else in mind?

João Eiras

Here we go: * Pretty please, release a book with the violin staff ? I'll gladly buy one. * Please talk a bit about your musical education, and what you did before joining the band. * Favorite classical pieces. Perhaps would be cool to do a 20 minute recital on Periscope ! You get instant fan points if you play Bach's Sonata No 1 2nd movement, BWV 1001 :) * Have you jammed with an electric violin, perhaps considered bringing something to the band ? * Have you considered having a stage wardrobe with a gothic like theme like Xen's, but using something lighter ? Xen with his harsh vocals, dark hair and clothes represents darkness, while you with clean vocals, lighter hair, violin and lighter color represent light :) * Since Australia is a melting pot, where's your ancestry from ? Cheers !

Tim! You and Xen were the two most professional live vocalists I've seen, next to Devin Townsend and Floor Jansen! How are you able to get the lines that you belt AND your calmer head voice to cut through so well in a live scenario? The first time I heard Devour Me, Colossus it was live in Atlanta here in the states, and your voice absolutely floored me

I can see my arm in this picture! And my buddy Travis' beard! Haha. What was your most memorable part of your first time touring through the US?

How much does the distance from your loved ones influence your writing--while you're away?

What's your desktop book that you never get tired of? Which book character was your favorite when you were a child?

Alex Koumoundouros

By now it is clear that you and the band have had to struggle to survive by pursuing a musical career. Would you agree that this is partly because the arts are discouraged by our political leaders, because it is not seen as a profitable endeavor? If so, what would you suggest we can do as a society to bring strength back into the arts industry?

Since discovering you guys about a year and a half ago, I have absolutely fallen in love with the band's style. The music has been truly moving. Some bands feel that if they don't change some within the course of a few albums, they aren't progressing as musicians, or that their style will get stale with the fans. Is this something you worry about? Have you focused on new vocal techniques you plan on implementing in the future albums?
