Here's an update from Tim on the first thing we got onto after the album was completed... commencing the search for our new drummer!

Cormac Jordan

I'll pass on reccomendations for 2 drummers I've worked with. Damian Dziennik (recorded an EP and single with him, and he's put some NeO drum covers on IG), and Tom Woodlock (recorded 2 tracks for a charity album with him, currently playing with Cruachan, Zhora and some local bands). Both have strong double kick skills, pros to work with, have easy access to drum recording, and touring experience.

Jann Hillrichs He plays in Nailed to Obscurity and recently worked as session drummer for Tryptikon and as drum tech for Dark Tranquility. He's very good, professional, eager to work more, friendly and accessible.

He only does studio work, doesn't (want to) tour anymore (family, work, too old for this sh*t).🤷‍♀️

I hope it won't be a "session player" but a person that can bring something to the band even in terms of personality and songwriting to the band and work well with you :) I was thinking about the drummer from Abiogenesis (Stefano Brognoli), who transferred abroad and is the reason for the band to be in hiatus at the moment. I remember him as seemingly being super clean even in technical stuff (i'm not a musician tho, i might be totally off!) and maybe he isn't currently active in a fulltime band. Plus he's italian and might work well with Martino. I think a player like that could be the profile you are looking for, but i'm sure there are a lot of super good drummers who would give anything in order to have a chance to play with you!

Thanks for the feedback Simon! It of course depends on the person and how things feel, though I think what is fairly likely is someone joins as a touring member and then if everyone goes very well they become an official member at some later stage. That is what we did with Martino to ensure the fit was right for both of us (which is was clear quickly it very much was/is!). Finding someone that can contribute great parts to the songs in addition to being a rock at the live shows is definitely equal factors that we'll be keeping in mind. - Tim

Ok. Spencer from Starkill (whom you toured NA with awhile back). He’s kind of left the band for touring but still does their studio work. But a chance to tour with you guys might change his mind about touring. https://youtu.be/75s2RpPWNTE
