Down with the Sickness in Prague, Czech Republic (Patreon)

So the Prague show was great... the fans were great, the band played well...the only catch is that I was reallly really sick.... I've actually been sick for the last week but a bad reaction to some antibiotics I started taking resulted in me being violently ill just before showtime and again after the show. Not fun. I think it was actually the most sick I've ever been for a show, to the degree that about 15min before showtime the guys were making sure I was still going to be able to do the show at all.
Alas, the show went on and despite feeling like I was about to pass out half way through "Plague" and missing one vocal and violin line as a result, the show went off without hitch, just not quite with as much headbanging and energy from me as per usual. But seeing the smiling faces up the front that had been waiting months/years to see us play in Prague for the first time reminded me why sometimes you need to push through in moments like this. Obviously you need to look after your health, but when people have been waiting years to see you play you don't not get up on stage if you can still literally climb those stairs and sing/play the violin at all.
Thankfully for the show in Munich last night I was feeling quite a lot better and so hopefully within a couple more days I'll be back to 100%.
