Here you go! Later today we are releasing another song from our new album EXUL ahead of the full album release this Friday. Here's your chance to listen to this one again, if you came to the listening party, or for the first time if you weren't able to make.

We  present to you Part 1 of 2 of our 16 minute+ epic 'Misericorde,' a song  that delves into the subject of dealing with terminal illness. It's  about your body betraying you, the inner battle both physical and mental  (and the range of emotions that come with it), which eventually becomes  apparent to others as your health deteriorates letting your armour fall away.

Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

NE OBLIVISCARIS, "Misericorde I - As The Flesh Falls" (Official Song Premiere) 2023

Progressive metal masters NE OBLIVISCARIS are now sharing the new song, "Misericorde I - As The Flesh Falls!" 'Exul' is due March 24, 2023 NE OBLIVISCARIS comments, "We present to you Part 1 of 2 of our 16 minute+ epic Misericorde, a song that delves into the subject of dealing with terminal illness. About your body betraying you, and the inner battle both physical and mental (and the range of emotions that come with it) that result because of that. I will say for me Part 1 attracts to me more than part 2. I really like the whole flow of the song, the violin sections is really beautiful. The riffs are enticing and blends with the violin parts. The ending to the song is amazing. The meaning behind the song is great. Even though the song is delving onto terminal illness. Can the song also relate to anyone? because we all age and with that comes the deterioating of our health too. Looking forward to reading the lyrics though

Banger after banger!!! Absolutely fantastic work as always. Just one thing, it felt like the yt video was cut off at the end? Highly unlikely to be an issue on the album version, just an observation.

Da Guru Bro

Amazing, I can’t wait to hear it live at the next Melbourne show. I really hope you play the entire album live in Melbourne. Maybe even make another DVD of the album live in Melbourne.

Alex Koumoundouros

Understand it's a 2 parter making it difficult to cut either way. It's clearly intended to be listened to together! 😁

Neil Savage

Nothing but the best...and yet, NeO just keep getting better...🖤🤘🏻🖤🤘🏿🖤🎻🎸🥁🎙️

Jess Brown

Violin parts are euphoric and the whole song is like submerging into water after a drought

All the songs of this album are absolute masterpieces but I think that Misericorde has something special and unique, I was immediately impressed at first listen. Thank you 🙏🏻💫

Karolina

From the first heavy guitar harmonies, through the meandering bass line and at one point almost schizophrenic-sounding vocals, everything is so multi-dimensional and multi-layered. And the ending sounds like a prelude to dissociation in order to preserve the remnants of one's own humanity. Choosing a favorite song from this album will be terribly difficult (...so why limit yourself?).

Brenton Morgan

Amazing idea, and living in Melbourne i support it

Dragos Tomescu

This is perfection. And holy ****, i can hear ALL the instruments!!! As usual... Guys, this is true talent 🖤🖤🖤

LM

Just as gorgeous and unique as I remember it from the listening party :’) I don’t know how many times I’ve replayed it now, that violin section is just insanely beautiful. Every instrument and voice has its moment to really shine here, I can’t wait to have the album as a whole to listen the whole way through again and again.

Mat

Part one only...(drama queen mode on) why, why mutilate the song in such a cruel way? In any case, thanks! I needed to hear this beauty again.

Ne Obliviscaris

So on the album it has no break at all. It was actually mixed as one 16 minute song and then split only at mastering. I was going to do a single edit for YouTube with a fade-out but I decided I liked it sounding cut off (which is what happens seeing the track change happens whilst there is music still going) to help ensure people listen to Part 2 straight away as intended ;-). So just 3 days of this version then back to back forever more \m/ - Tim

JustFikkis

Well played guys. Not only your usually high standard across the board, it is just so inventive.

Zach Smith

This song made me cry the first time I heard it, I can't wait to experience that beauty over and over again Edit: listening to the lyrics, this masterpiece is incredibly hard hitting in a personal way, and I think I've found my new favorite song

Mitchell Christman

Very lovely stuff. Having multiple violins and having counter-Melodies played together fits so well here. Can’t wait to hear part 2. Sadly missed the livestream, but I eagerly await the record.

Naked_SoNUshka

Incredible sound! I really liked this song. This is truly a highest quality masterpiece! Thank you.

NakedSunFlower

Wow! What bass, what chords! I like this heavy sound, I love simple. Congratulations on the release of your new album!

David Elliott

Any chance of getting this video ‘splash screen’ as a wallpaper?

Val

This is beautiful, I can't wait to read the lyrics ❤️
