Hey everyone!


Matt is going to be interviewing Dan later today about all things DRUMS on the new album. If you have any QUESTIONS you would like Dan to answer in regards to anything related to drums and this album--- the writing process, his set up, gear, whatever... post them below and we'll make sure they get answered!

Hey Dan I'd like to know you're approach to longer songs. When you have a section that has the same harmonic idea repeated for a while, how would you approach that rhythmically? Thanks!

Who is your favorite drummer?

I have two questions: 1) why do you use single-foot blast beats? 2) is there a difference between the foot technique you use for the 200-220 BPM range and the technique you use for higher tempi (e.g. 240-250 BPM) ?

What does the songwriting process look like for you? I.e. Do you guys all jam together to make the songs, do you individually come up with your part while listening to a demo, or does it all start with programming ideas?
