Hey everyone!

So we have some unfortunate news which is officially being announced shortly today and just quickly sharing it here on Patreon first. That is that Persefone have had to sadly pull out of our upcoming USA tour. I have linked their statement below:

I’ll post a video tomorrow (later today USA time) discussing some of this stuff a bit further as it is sadly a product of how tough things are getting for band post-pandemic with so many costs sky-rocketing.

We feel really bad for Persefone as we were so looking forward to doing another tour together and helping to spread their music far and wide.

The one bit of good news in amongst this, is that we were able to get our good friends, The Omnific, to jump on board to fill in quite last minute. This will be their first tour of the USA and they’re such lovely guys and insanely talented musicians as well so happy that at least in this we’re able to get them a chance to play for fans across the USA & Canada.

It’s almost 1am here in Australia so trying to get this news out before I go to bed and then will follow up tomorrow AU time.

Crazy times, but nevertheless still excited for what will be an amazing tour.

Oh no. I was looking forward to Persefone but such is life. Excited for Omnific!

Aww, was looking forward to seeing persefone Never heard anything by The Omnific, but if you guys are vouching for them I'm sure they'll be great

That's got to be very disappointing for the members of Persefone. I hope they get another opportunity to tour sooner rather than later!

Awww, that's a bummer for sure. Persefone and Ne Obliviscaris are my two favorite bands ever, so Persefone will be missed. But I can certainly understand how difficult the times are, and I wish them the best. And I'm looking forward to seeing Omnific too. I'm not that familiar with them, but they sound awesome!

Chris Bossardet

Well that's really unfortunate. I was really looking forward to seeing Persefone. They're one of my favorites and I haven't had the chance to see them live yet.

Tina

Damn.... very sorry for them. How is it even possible that the transport company doesn't have to pay for the lost gear??? Shouldn't there be an insurance for transports like this??

Chris

Will Xen be on the North America tour?

Rudy Villarreal

Truly unfortunate that Persefone couldn't make it ): very good to see the omnific will be there to replace them though as I am huge fan of them!

Ne Obliviscaris

Great question- the short answer is that most shipping services limit the amount of insurance they are liable for. So for example post EU tour NeO had to ship a rack worth over 10k Euros to store in a different country, but the max insurance we could add was 2k, and even that made the shipping cost much higher. Really the only way to cover something like this further would be to get more expansive insurance that covers everything to do with an item. e.g. I have pay for this type of insurance for my violin, so that if anything happened to it anywhere I am covered. I do this because if it broke or got stolen or something I couldn't afford to replace it and my entire career relies on it. But of course, all these type of things costs more money, which most bands don't have and unfortunately the best way to protect against such things is to have and spend more money. - Tim

Thanks for the explanation. That's all so shitty. :(

You'll know after the Aussie shows....😎
