Studio Update: Guitar Tracking Part 2 (Patreon)

Soooo....... after 2 days of the guys destroying guitar tracking it was discovered there was a problem with the DI track, and it was not usable for the final takes on the album.....and we had to redo everything we had done on those days....again. *sigh*

Credit to Benji in particular who had knocked off 2 whole songs worth of rhythm guitars in that time (half the album) and then had to do it all again. That really sucked.

The good news though, is the rhythm guitars are now all done!

The other good news for you all--- is that if you watch this video you will hear a sneak peak of part of a new song. What you hear is not final studio takes but actually just the home demo from pre production, but gives you an idea of one part of the song we have dubbed "Dublin Prog" (real name tbc). Normally we reserve any previews of the actual album for higher tiers but thought we'd make an exception for this one so that everyone at least gets a little taste now.

Also note, though Matt & I are talking in this video about including elements of "traditional songwriting"....have no fear the song in question is actually an 11 minutes epic with a very unusual structure and so what we consider more "traditional" is definitely not what most other people would think it would be haha

Enjoy!
