I'm a little confused, doesn't losing weight and especially stopping eating or reducing food intake reduce stomach volume?

The blooming nectar is making her lose weight, thus she’s going to need to maintain her weight by eating a lot this time instead of cutting back. She eats a lot, the blooming nectar keeps her from getting too big for the contest, her stomach capacity increases from eating all the time, she starts the contest being able to stomach a lot.

That makes sense to me, especially after seeing Midori during her second dose. But this process only lasts a few weeks, and then the body stabilizes, so I don't think the stomach growth is enough. If it were a few weeks before the competition, it would be fine, but Myu drank it months before.

Not sure. Granted myu is drinking hyper big breast elixir, not just big breast elixir like midori did with her first dose.
