What does Myu mean, "I'd better look for a backup"? Rena's right in front of her face as an option. The writing for Myu herself has been frustrating since she learned the trick to gaining weight from her dad, I'm surprised how she still has functional feet from how much she constantly shoots them herself. I'm beginning to wonder if the writing for Myu is intentionally meant to be frustrating, or this is Pix himself not being sure of what to do.

When has Rena ever expressed interest in gaining weight? At best she's willing to accept to be bigger if it means she can be with Zina. While it's safe to assume she heard about Nadette, she doesn't even know her personally. Accepting to be bigger for the one you love and actively gaining weight against your own wishes for someone you don't even know are two completely different situations. In the current situation, why would Myu ever consider her a candidate, especially when Myu herself advocates respecting everyone's desires?

I'll throw the question back at you; When has Rena expressed NOT wanting to gain? Myu has never directly asked her to join, yet Rena herself was the one who suggested that her and Myu drink the nectar when Myu brought them to her when she needed to get rid of the bottles. While she claims it was done as an act of a friend, if Rena truly had zero interest for gaining, she never would've taken that risk alongside Myu, let alone be the one to suggest it. My point is that I don't believe there's anything stopping Myu from trying to ask her to join.

Well, that was a rhetorical question, I know for certain she has never shown any interest about gaining weight so far. If you want me to hold the burden of proof regarding what she thinks about being fat and gaining weight, here are a few: - Page 332 - "This photo served as a wake-up call. When my cousin took it, I was horrifed at how fat I had become." - Page 337 - "...Do you see this? I'm fat myself. I can't say I understand wanting to be fatter." - Page 339 - "I'm starting to dread weighing myself. But my body jiggling a little more everyday is a constant reminder that I should do it." - Page 447 - "Don't you dare tell me how much I weigh." - Page 652 - Zina: "And you know that if you stay by my side, you'll put on even more weight, right?", Rena: "Haaa... I can't say I like the idea."

Honestly, knowing that Zina has gotten back from the brink of immobility to her starting weight, I think she's gonna be fine. And honestly, I'd love to see her compete anyways. She really does have a big advantage in being a runner and expert at knowing when Myu is "full".
