With a bitter command, Scar ordered his minions to hunt, decreeing death for any traitors who tried to flee. He dismissed the hyenas and Zira for disrupting his rest, leaving only the widowed queen behind.

"Stay," he murmured to Sarabi.Drawing Sarabi close with a low, deceptive purr, Scar spun his web of words. He scoffed at Zira as a common creature whose only purpose was bearing his cubs, but praised Sarabi's innate nobility.

"With you by my side, this kingdom will heal," he whispered, pressing against her. "Become my queen, Sarabi. Let me give you luxury.

Scar doesn’t like Zira—or rather, he is simply indifferent to her. In this comic, Scar is completely focused on how to get Sarabi. Deep down, he believes that by winning Sarabi's love, he can become a great king just like Mufasa. Zira can never make that happen for him.
